Will Jill Remember Her Mom and Dad???? 1 Attachment(s) We are going to be gone for a week to our sons wedding. Jill is going back to the wonderful home where we bought her. Her mom and dad will be there. I was just curious if Jill will remember them and them remember her? Does anyone have any thoughts on this? :questione Jack is going to a friends home who also has a Yorkie and they are excited to be having him and told us we may not get him back! This is our first trip away since becoming Yorkie parents. I will miss them both:sad: they have brought such joy to our lives. But it is comforting to know they will be well taken care of while we are gone. |
HAHAHAHA that is the BEST picture! I love it :) I would like to think that she will remember them and they her but I have no experience but it sure would be sweet! Are Jack and Jill going to miss each other? |

i have one of bentley and bitsy's pups from michele here on the board. daisy was a year old and i took her back to michelle a month ago so she could watch her while we were away, and i think she remembered her parents and her brothers....it was nice to see them together... |
I think they do. Usually the Mom will remember her babies and know when they see one of their own. I think Yoda recognized his furdaddy and furmommy when he met them again for the first time after 4 years... |
Margaret, there is ABSOLUTELY NO doubt about it. Jill will ALWAYS remember you. Your scent is permanently glued to the part of her that loves. Dogs are very loyal to their pack and that is YOU ....Please remember, they have GREAT memories especially where scent is involved and Jill will also remember that wonderful person who is responsible for her being brought into this world..... but remember, YOU ARE HER WORLD and she will never ever forget you. You will be suffering more than both Jack and Jill put together. And I tell you, when you get home, there will be GREAT REJOICING and you can pet and spoil them to pieces to help you get over your guilt. Have a GREAT time at your son's wedding -- please give both the Bride and Groom a hug from Chattiesmom!:D |
Wosie completely did. We left Wosie for two weeks when we went to Hawaii when she was 5 months old. She completely remembered us when we came back, and nearly wiggled herself silly with joy at our reunion! No worries! |
Thank you all for reassuring me. We are leaving tomorrow and we take the furbabies to their petsitters today. Boy am I feeling sad:cry: |
Have fun, I think it's so neat that Jill gets to see her mom again. Hope they take lots of pictures of the reunion for you. Just think Jack gets a play date away from his sister;) |
Of course your little munchkins will remember you! How could they possibly forget the mommy who loves them? :) Have a GREAT time at the wedding!! |
Jill will remember her mom and her mom will remember her....no doubt in my mind! Our Magic came from my sister's yorkies first litter and not only does Magic remember her mom (Ellie) but she remember my sister and her husband......she gets so excited!! It is fun to let Ellie and Magic play....Magic is the alpha at our house, but as soon as she sees Ellie, her mom, she rolls over on her back - everytime!! Have fun on your trip....you will have a much harder time than Jill and Jack....but you will get a huge welcome when you return!! |
I have to say ABSOLUTELY she will remeber! I took my little guy back over to the breeders house about 3 months after we had him and he went bonkers for her and his remaining brothers and sisters! It was so cute. I take him over there every now and than still for play dates and he still goes bonkers. It is adorable. |
We kept our granddaughter's yorkie Murphy for several months. She got to take him home on Easter. She called the other day and said she was bringing him over for a visit. (She had been to our house but never brought him) I told Jasmine Murphy was coming and she got so exited. She started running around and barking. Everytime you mention "Murphy" she gets so exited. They were really glad to see each other & played and played until they were worn out. |
