Help !!! Please please help Daisy is completly out of control!! She doesnt listen to her name, she wont come when we call her, she insists on eating things she shouldnt and when we try and get them off her she thinks its a big game and runs round the house with it and we cant even stroke her without being bitten she will even lunge at my face!! Shes 13 weeks old and i feel like a complete faliure! It feels like i have tried everything its coming to the point where i have really had enough of feeling frustrated! I love her to bits and just want to be a good mummy :( :( :( |
I'm sure you will get a lot of great advice on training her but I just wanted to say, she's really still very much a baby and it WILL get easier. :) |
I wish i could help you, My boy was the same way when he was young, i just kept reforcing the "NO" command, got him more socialized with kids, people and my sisters dogs, as he got older he seemed to calm down, i never tried a puppy class before but you might give that a try???? |
we did try and take her to a puppy class but all the dogs where large breeds and the trainers are too rough for a lil yorkie. Ive looked but theres no classes just for small breed dogs in my area. |
Welcome to the world of having a Yorkie pup, I swear when Bailey was under 6 months old, he would think his name was " NO" or Bad Boy, or NO BITING! It was crazy.. I remember asking people " When does this stop?" :( But.. just keep doing what your doing, Everytime.. NO! and especially when she goes at your face, Praise her and treats when she's good, and let her know when she's done something bad,, a loud NO, worked well with mine, they know,, he would look at me before he did bad things to see if he was gonna get away with it. And they do have puppy classes that might help, I took Bailey at about a year old and wish I would have started sooner. Good luck. |
I always used a water bottle with water in it, when Kloey mis-behaved I would squirt her in the face and she hated it. You also have to use a stern voice to let her know you are the head dog, not her! if the water dont work, get a can with a lid and put coins in it and when she is bad, shake the can so it makes a loud noise, remember when you squirt her or shake the can to say "NO" in a stern voice. also make sure you keep her in a crate when you cant watch her, this is for her own safety! |
