humping at 8 weeks??? Well my baby Binky is humping the life out of my pink FAO stuffed Patrick dog. Hes just going at it. Hes 9.5 weeks now... But it all started 2 weeks ago a couple of days after I got him. It was short at first, but he was doing it for a uninterupted minute just now. I knew the day would come that he would do this... But not so soon. Oh well. |
Wow, that is really funny, it just bought a smile to my face, spunky little devil isn't he, well boys will be boys, lol. |
And it doesn't get any better. lol Rudy is 9 months old and is a little horny toad. He goes Thursday morning to be neutered. He humps anything. I feel sorry for Maddie and Lucky after they get there baths, he is all over them. I should have neutered him when he was younger, but something always came up. My vet likes to neuter them when they are about 6-7 months, before they start marking and by then if there is any baby teeth left he can pull them. Good luck and talk to your vet about when he likes to neuter, if you are going to neuter him.........Cindy |
http://www.yorkietalk.com/gallery/al...da_humping.jpg Yoda humped at around 8-12 weeks. So yes, it's normal. Anyways, we did 'fix' him, but he still humps, probably once every two days or so, with his favorite stuffed animals (usually twice as big as he is). :P |
hormonal Max Boy, do I relate to your little Binky....Max has done the "dance" for the past 2 weeks while our doberman is in heat. He cries to go out ......heads straight for her ankle....(the only part that he can reach ;) He stalks her heels and follows her as if he were attached.....( He wishes :p ) He loves his stuffed animals too.....I don't encourage it and usually remove the toy and he calms down. He is not neutered.....but that doesn't always stop it either... Your little Binky is precocious...... Max's Mom |
OMG, Yoda is one brave pup, that's a bigggg stuffed animal, lol. Ok so my question is this, does anyone know for sure if after you've neutered them will the humping stop? I'm actually considering a second Yorkie to keep my little Julie company, I was considering a boy but I don't want my 3 yr daughter to see that, it's nasty. What do you guys suggest? |
Yeah I can understand your concerns re your daughter. NOT every male dog does this though. We had FOUR male dogs we had all together previously (two were yorkies) - out of the four, only ONE did this (YES he was a yorkie lol) - I didn't encourage it either (if they do it to your arm - it HURTS!) and he did stop over the years. However, when you go and see that litter of yorkie pups all looking so sweetly at you, there is no way you can tell which will hump and which will not! Good luck!! Ana xx |
Help My two dogs both males a yorkie and a chihuahua always hump each other?? What should i do???? |
Horny little devils, these Yorkies! My Higgins did it right from the gitgo at 7 weeks. And he still does! He is now 8 months old and was fixed at 5 1/2 months. HOWEVER, he only does it to his really soft baby blanket. We have named the blanket "Susie" and we give it to him once in awhile. When Higgins is in the midst of a really passionate humping session, Don DOES remind him that he WILL get pimples and may go blind....... :o |

ROFL!!!! I'll tell Don you said that, Eddie! :D |
My little horny toad Rudy is going under the knife tomorrow. He doesn't seem to feel to good to day, I wonder if he knows. Have to have him there by 10 am. We know our yorkies so well, can't figure what is up with him. He is playing and terrorizing my other two, but won't eat. Will talk to Doc when I take him in before he goes under the knife. Will let you all know how he is tomorrow............Cindy |
Maybe Rudy knows something is up? They have a sixth sense! It's scary! :P |
I'll say a little prayer for Rudy tonight......It is sooooo hard when you leave them and know they are in surgery, so come here and we'll hold your hand, okay? |
My little terrorist still is not feeling well. Rudy throw up this evening. He hasn't ate hardly anything today. He hasn't been as active today, but has been barking and playing alittle. My mom even came over to see if she could get him to eat, she brought turkey and no luck. I think he might have a sore throat. I know this is gross but it was that yellowish stuff. Am going to take him first thing in the morning to Doc. You know how we know our babies, but we also know how males act when they are sick. lol Just kidden. Will post tomorrow when I get back for the Vet............Cindy |
