Well kinda, My older girls kinda give me the hint!! I wonder sometimes if they aren't jealous!! LOL! And as soon as justin comes in tiffy & teddy is right there to give him kisses! He bends down and loves on them before me!! LOL! I tell him he loves those babies more then me! LOL! But we all have to love them! Hugs, Lee :aimeeyork (Mommy of 6) |
They call me the dog lady I must be pretty obsessed because I am referred to as "the dog lady" in my neighborhood. I always walk my 3 dogs twice a day and usually have several children taggin along behind me because they love the little dogs. Now with the new puppy, I sometimes feel like the pied piper walking thru the neighborhood. One day I had 10 kids helping me to walk my dogs (lol). I have a co-worker that always asks me how the dogs are doing. After about 5 minutes of my nonstop chatter, I get this look like, "why did I ask". I guess that qualifies. |
Oh, I get it all of the time! And when I'm really getting in to it my sister will say "you are scaring me!" Why do you think I love YT so much? |
No one has as of yet. But they know how I am about my Gus so I think they get a kick out of it. |
Almost everybody! But - I don't talk about him as much now as I did when I first got him. After all, I have another wonderful little dog and two birds that I love just as much. I certainly know how it can drive people crazy. We have two girls at the office who talk about their babies constantly!!!!! The rest of us know how much they love their children, but some of us have no little children at home and would like to discuss other things occasionally. Then there are the pregnant girls! We even had an interoffice E-mail keeping us up to date on how much one girl had dilated! Give me a break! I guess if we want to talk about "anything" constantly - we need to realize that we are probably driving some people crazy. Carol Jean |
My fiance' says I am a weirdo but I told him to watch out I just bought a camcorder and I am going to catch him talking to Georgie like I do:D I am sure people get annoyed with me talking about Georgie, but I just keep talking;) |
I have been told I talk alot about my yorkies and my loveable kittens too much. Oh well, I just love them so much and they are so sweet. I sure am glad I found this site cause I can learn about yorkies without anyone complaining. |
My nephew is a show breeder of another breed of dog. We used to get so tired of him and my brother doing nothing but talk about dogs. Well...now that is what I do, only it is Yorkies. |
Nope, no one tries to get me to stop. In fact if I don't talk about her, someone asks me how she is doing. People come over and want to see her first! My friends and family are all pet people. If they weren't they would just have to go.... |
nope nobody has but i'm sure they want to sometimes. My brother has always loved dogs. nobody really ever talks about theirs much but him. and all of us (including myself) got where it got on our nerves because thats all he talked about almost. He breeds them. He dont breed to make a living just breeds different ones all along and sells a litter here and there, no kennel breeder. But I lost my only daughter, and everyone in my family has a daughter but me now. my two sisters live just up the road from me and see their daughters quiet a lot. So they talk about their daughters. they got on my nerves some times talking about what they were doing or did with their daughters, and I couldnt so i just listened. But when my daughter was living we all did that, so I tried to not let on it bothered me. It wasnt so much gettin on my nerves but it did make it hard sometimes to not be able to talk about what me and my daughter did. but I love all their kids and them. so sometimes I feel they kinda let me talk about kizzy without letting on so much because they know this. they do play with her when they come by and pet her and talk about her some too tho. sometimes I think they just understand she is all I have here with me to talk about now. But imma quit talking so much about her to them. I know how nerve wrecking it can get. we are a very close family. But I'll still talk about her to my hubby. he dont mind cause he loves her too. plus she is new to us and she is just a baby. |
I've never encountered that situation before. My husband and son loves animals and they're the main ones talking about Buttercup. Almost all my neighbors have Yorkies so we always have something to talk about. |

My mom gets sick of me talkign about yorkies and dogs in general and gets on to me. My mom also gets mad when I bring Chloe over to her house, and then I of course get mad on chloe's behalf. How can you not like Chloe?:questione Whenever I start talking about my dogs she says "dont you have anythign else to talk about?" and Im thinking, yeah sure, I can talk about my job. Oh wait, that wont work, it has to do with dogs also. So then I think I can talk about my hobbies, but wait that wont work either- all my hobbies center around dogs :eyebrow2: . What can she possibly expect? I told her she need to let me have a dog when I was growing up. Since she deprived me of dogs growing up I have to make up for it now and center my life around them;) :D |
No one has every actually came out and said it, but you know when they are thinking it. I consider Mojo my "son" and people think I am crazy. At a recent family reunion, someone said "well, I see everyone brought their dogs" and I said, "I didn't bring a dog, I brought my son". He is a big part of our family and more of a member then some relatives I have to claim! My family has gotten use to it now - it took 3 years, but atleast they came around to it. Now, when they buy birthday or holiday gifts for him, they gladly tell people who it is for or tell them about his birthday party or what was in his Halloween basket or Christmas stocking. Plus, I think now they actually come to his birthday to see him eat his cake and ice cream and play with his new toys - before it was just for the food! No one mentions all the stuff we bring for him when we go places. Before, people would comment on his luggage or how a "dog" brings more on an over night trip then they do. And the pictures - we shouldn't go there! He has a nice big scrapbook and framed prints throughout the house! I always send or email new photos of him when we get them. I think sometimes my daughter might feel left out or jealous, but she doesn't need to. (She is pretty spoiled as well). If she brings it up, I just tell her that Mojo doesn't back talk or have attitude or roll his eyes at me! She does get into buying him stuff though! Awwwwww, our babies! |
I Am Glad I Was Not The Only One I had my brother over and he finally said can we stop talking about dogs lol.. I did not realize I was talking so much. After all ,all he talked about was his new home he cant wait to move into. oh well. |
This is funny - I get the EYE ROLL thing going on with my family, I work on my dads computer alot - so when I go over there - I trained him to look at the girls latest pictures and say "Awwwww....they're so pretty"....THEN and only THEN do I go to work. :p It's a standing joke now but he's getting better at admiring them ! |
