Having jealous bouts Well Cassie is having some jealous bouts, what to do! She has been really good with playing with Maggie and seems to really enjoy her but--there is a line she does not want Maggie to cross. Does not want her up on the bed which she thinks is hers, also does not want her on the couch where she sits with me. The other thing is when the two of us play with a toy she does not want Maggie to join in. Has anyone else had this problem before and how did you correct it. Would appreciate any help you can give. |
I have a similar problem with May a my 9 year old cranky Pom. She has actuallydoen better than I had expected with Cali, except for treats, No matter when I give them each a treat, Maya will either eat hers and go after Cali's or just ignore her treat and chas Cali down for hers. I just let her do it and give Cali another treat since Maya was here first and has been pretty good otherwise. The longer they are together the better it gets. I think it just takes time and one is usually going to be more dominant |
I still have this problem with Hallie. I had Simon first but she is definitley the dominant one. She throws a fit when I pick up Simon or give him a bath so what I have been doing is distracting her with a toy or treat when I want to give Simon some one on one time with me. It's tough and it has taken a long time but she is getting better. Good luck~ |
Chewy, our new addition for the past week is such a doll and so easy going unlike Foofy (my oldest boy). Foofy gets so territorial w/ everything...my bed, my lap, my kisses, etc. But what I don't like most about Foofy is that he'll walk all over Chewy whether he's awake or asleep if Chewy is in his way. I yell at Foofy for this behavior but it's not helping. However, I've noticed the boys have bonded and is making great progress. |
