Mine gets a at least two baths a week sometimes three. She doesn't get dry skin at all. We have creeks, well not creeks more like ditches with water running in them, in our backyard and at the side of our yard and she loves to jump in them. She can get pretty muddy, she isn't very ladylike. Sometimes I let her dry them brush her out but sometimes it gets to be too much and too matty(I dont' think that's a word). My three big dogs get a bath once a week though(they are outside dogs) and they don't get dry skin either. They also don't get as good of shampoo and no conditioner either. |
I bathe him every week to week & a half, unless he goes outside for an extended period of time and gets gross. |
We bathe our Sophie every weekend, as well, and she's groomed every 4 or 5 weeks depending on how short her last haircut was. |
Hi everyone! We are new on here!! I bathe my She-Ra every Sat. If I bathe her 2x week, she gets all dry and nasty feeling!! :aimeeyork |
bathes People say the type breed has alot to do with needing a bath. My Doxies were bathed twice a year..brushed regular and I used Baby wipes weekly to clean them down. The Yorkies are bathed weekly and when I had over 20 Yorks, I bathed 2 everyday. |
sirius gets bathed every 3 or 4 days. we walk him to the sound every day and he has been picking up alot of pollen that has everyone in the house sick. before pollen season started it was once a week. he likes his baths and tries to jump in the tub when anyone takes a bath. i have no problem with his skin at all. and he always smells clean |
Esme gets her bath every Sunday too! |
nala gets a bath every sunday too! unless she decides to get muddy like she did monday. it had been raining all day long and we let her out that evening, she went strait for the garden to burry her bone. she was a mess!! so she had to get a bath 2nights in a row. |
I bathe Sydnee once a week also usually on a Sunday! Maybe its because its the first day of the week we all do it. There for a bit though it was almost every day once she started jumping in the tub every time I took a bath. Learned really quick I did about putting her in her carrier or having someone keep an eye on her so I could at least shave my legs. She had her first grooming yesterday and looked so beautiful, and then we went to the Vets today for another shot that I thought they had already given her, duh. It was a booster of the other shot. Now her coat looks sort of like she has stringy hair, I think my hand lotion does it, gets on her while I am holding her. What is Ice on Ice? Where do I buy it. If it helps I will get some. Beats her wearing my perfume Dior Addict or Must deCartier. |
I wash Molly about every 3 or 4 days. I haven't been drying her hair with a drier, though. I towel dry it. Her skin was very dry when I got her, but it is fine now. To me, her hair gets to looking kind of stringy if I wait any longer. Plus, I want her to smell good. I use infusium every day when I brush her, but as long as her skin/hair is okay, I like to bathe her fairly often. I would do it every day if I had time. |
Once a week too! I bathe one on Sunday and the other on Monday, two are too much in one day. Which ever is the dirtiest, usually Artie first on Sunday and Abigail on Monday whether she's dirty or not. Just so she can get used to it. If it's raining or his coat looks dry? I spray him with a leave in Conditioner, Mink Oil so he won't get matted in between baths. I haven't had any skin problems with either one, so once a week seems to be fine? :p |
Rhonda, yes I am tired of snow! My new tree had budded, and now it is probably going to die! I wish it would either be spring or summer, not spring and then winter! EEK! Tired of winter! Pat |
One to two times a week. |
Our breeder advised "anytime she needs it"! When she was younger sometimes she got a bath every day ... now just every week unless she smells "like a dog"!! ;) |
Every two weeks . |
