airline report of animal deaths check this out. airline report of animal deaths.:( http://www.thirdamendment.com/animals.html |
Didn't know this information existed. I wonder if they are all honest about reporting incidences. It looks like Continental would not be my choice to ship. I wonder if it's because they ship more or are more honest in reporting, you never know. It would have been helpful for them to list the number of animal transports so we could get a better idea of their safety record. |

I would imagine they lose a pet just like they lose a suitcase. Maybe an occasional airline employee steals them. I'm sure if the total animals shipped information was included it wouldn't be as shocking. |
I think even one loss of life is too many. JMO MaryKay |

Continental probably flies more because they have some airconditioned cargo spaces so that you can fly your dog in cargo in the summer. I'm not sure how many they fly on each flight, but it is more than one or two. This is opposed to American, for example, which only flies them in the passenger cabin and I think there can be only one or two and I am on many many flights with no animals. So, I think continental's higher number is due to flying a higher number of animals. |

:( Thats terrible! I would never fly with chloe unless I can personally hold onto her or if she could be kept right by me. |
which is why I would never bring Rusty or the cats with me. I just wouldn't be able to handle risking that. :( it's easier with Tucker because he could stay with us..but that's awful. |
when they say lost pet they mean when they opened the cage to give them water and check them over the dog or cat or whatever got out and ran off:( |
