Estimated weight??? My 16 wk old Yorkie weighs 2.5lbs, is there a good way to estimate how much he will wiegh as an adult. I can't wait for him to get bigger...he's so tiny now:) |
what did he weight at 12 weeks?........ because the *rule* that people use is to double the twelve week weight....... (it didnt work for me, but plenty of people swear by it) |

I'm such an idiot with charts...can't figure it out. But anyway...Saffron was 2.5 lbs at 12 weeks when I got her & she's now 8 months old and weighs 6.5 lbs. Good thing I wanted a bigger Yorkie. Her appetite is as good as mine. Pretty soon it'll be the 2 of us waddling up and down the street. :) |
Ok I tried the link with the weight chart and didn't get it! Chico just turned 10 weeks today and weights about 2.3 pounds. I followed it and it was a number 13 under 10 weeks and 2.5 oz. what does that mean? |
Pixie its easy:) always remember 16oz in a lb the chart is done in oz and at the bottom at 18 months shows the pounds. Keep in mind this is a generic chart for toy breed. To use this chart; Find your puppy's age in the column going down the left side-then follow it over to your puppy's current weight. This chart will approximate your puppy's weight at different ages up to 18 months 16 oz in a lb x 2 =32 + 5 =37 so the chart estimates 5.5lbs adult weight |
Lexi should be right about 5lbs maybe alittle less. I guess we'll see I hope she reaches 6lbs but if not that is OK... |
