children and dogs how are your dogs with kids brownie dont like them outside the house he will bite them BUT kayko has never been around kids and hes very scared of them i dont know how to get him use to a little girl were watching im not worried about him biting cause hes not like that but hes been on our laps all day when she sits still hes goes and smells her but backs away he doesnt know what she is brownie loves her hes know her since she was 7 months but we didnt see her for a year that was the year we got kayko what do you think ???? |
Tia is great with kids, but she's been exposed to mine since she came home. Sandy is okay with mine and has been since the day she got her (do they have a special "this kid has been educated sense?") but if she is around ANY OTHER child aside from my own she gets really, really nervous and goes to hide. She'll growl at them from inside her crate, in another room. I keep her away from children and if any come up to us while we are out, I pick her up and ask them to stay away. |
Bailey isnt around kids ,,,, ever,, but when he hears a childs voice, he gets that little butt and tail going, and he gets SOOO excited, and he just smells and licks em... I dont know why or what it is,,but he loves KIDS!! :D |
Chachi is really good weith my daughter. He loves to wrestle around and play with her. They are best buddies. |
Zoey loves my kids. Every time they come home from school she runs to the door and she goes nuts lol. My friends also come over and they have children and she loves to play with them. Everyone tells me she is such a friendly dog.. |
Spike is good with my kid...he will just sit there and let her hold him or whatever. He doesnt like other kids--they are too loud and he will go and hide. Sometimes he will snap at them if they are bothering him. Then I have to put him in my room. |
my scrappy loves kids when he hears them outside playing he"s in the window watching it"s like he wants to go outside and play with them , but when my grandson comes over he bites him i think scrappy is jealouse of him . |
Bailey has only been around kids once, for a week, right after we got him, we took a trip up to visit my fiance's family and he has a 3 year old niece. When ever she was around him, he would chase her around and play. So I'm hoping he stays that way |
sirius loves the girls ( for those that do not know the girls are 2 and 5 ) but not other kids. other children tend to run up to him and are loud and hyper. my girls have been raised around all types of animals and have learned to be calm around animals and give them their own space. we even let the girls play in the indoor flight at my aunts house with the macaws and cockatoos. i think it really all depends on how the child is taught to behavie around animals. dogs feel fear and know a bad person. sirius also loves our cat that honestly is 3 times bigger than him. it is so cute to see them play. |
2 Attachment(s) toby actually scares the KIDS!!!!!!! :p ..... actually, he is really very good with kids.... these pics are of my cousins (they are twins) poking through his cage last christmas, he was a baby baby then..... i wish i could post some from easter because i have some REALLY cute ones of toby with the twins but i dont have my camera... i'll post them later |

Plays well with others. Sully is GREAT with kids! I don't have kids, but he loves playing with my 5 and 2 year old cousins! He lets my 2yr old boy/girl twins and the 5 year old girl (my COUSINS) put dress clothes on him, push him around in the play-stroller, carry him around, etc. I am sure he loves it that they love to play as much as he does! :) |
