Hi i wrote to you guys the other day about my pup i got from texas, she was diagnosed with coccidia and ear mites, and now she has kennel cough :confused:

she is taking albon for the coccidia, and im giving her robitussin for her cough, but her poopie has got really bad again, sometimes bloody, and very very runny. she was up every 2 hours last night, relieving herself, and coughing up a storm, she goes to the vet on friday for hr 4th set of vaccinations, which also she will get the kennel cough, but i dont know what to do till then??? anyone have any clues to what it may be?

I would call the vet right away, and see if they recommend you bring her in sooner. I did a search on the internet and found this site regarding bloody stools. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.. I hope she will be ok..

Is the albon not working for the coccidia? It's bad that she is it runny and bloody. I would have to agree with everyone. Take her to the vets. Better safe than sorry. I would also suggest you talk to the vet about delaying her last set of vaccination. Just afraid it may be too much for her little body to handle.

i agree take her to the vet. my friends yorkie was having loose bloody stools and we thought it might be parvo even though he had his shot, ended up he had hookworms and roundworms really really bad!!! she had to spend over $200 on just worming medicine not to mention vet bills.

I would also have to agree with everyone else. I would not wait until Friday. I also live in Texas :) May I ask what breeder you bought your furbaby from?

When we first brought home our babies, they had diarrhea after a couple of days even though we did just as our breeder said and kept them on the same food. At the advice of the vet and breeder we put them on tiny amounts of immodium ad and I bought them bottled water. We also had them on vitamins and robitussen. We have been told dogs seldom have ear mites, the pups were scratching their ears and do not have fleas, the vet said they grow hair in their ears that you need to make sure the groomers pull it out (she used tweezer things--ouch!) and gave us an ear wash called Vetus. Good luck getting baby well, the first month was rather tramatic for me too. Now they are healthy and way too happy!

well i would say the breeder i got her from, but he already threatned to use that against me as slander, and hes trying to sue.

the vet gave her kanamycin, its like puppy pepto bismal, and i give that to her 1 to 2 times daily, and im giving her robitussin for her cough.

i wasnt able to take her to the vet today they close at 6, and i dont get off work till late, but her stools are still loose but not bloody, ive been going through this with her since the day i got her, and the albon was working great up untill last night when she would use the bathroom every 2 hours, im going to cut her last feeding to about 6, and see if that helps.

she got a fecal when we took her the second time which proved she had coccidia, but nothing else, she is getting a fecal again on friday so hopefully she will turn out negative for any kind of parasites.

she is up and running around now as we speak, barking and playing..

also i have a weird question, i leave her in the bathroom with a baby gate in there while im at work, and she will pee, but she wont go poopie during the day, she waits untill after i get home before she does, and potty training isnt going well at all, when i take her outside, she wont use the potty, she waits till we have been out side for 30 minutes and then decides to come inside and pee, i really dont know what to do??

ashley........ it is not slander if you are stating a fact.... FOR INSTANCE: if you said "I got my puppy from ____________ and my puppy had these diseases blah blah blah...... that is a FACT not slander (especially since the vet diagnosed somethign was wrong adn you have proof)....... What exactly is he suing you for?????.. he sounds like an A$$*ole to me :mad:

he is very much a jerk, and has been ever since he had the money for the puppy, i became just another person he ripped off. if you search on this website there is a bunch of stuff about him, search dodd texas, and yorkie pups, and im sure his site will come up. hes trying to sue me for slander, bc i sent him links to pages that talk about him being a puppy mill and what not

what an idiot..... those were links to things other people wrote, not you yorself personally......... if he sues you, you should countersue for damages due to a sick pup and court cost ;)

he sells dogs for 10,000...i've never heard in my life of a dog being that expensive, but he does, mostly his are anywhere from 575 up to 10,000.... i wish i would've known b4 hand, bc i wouldnt have bought a dog from him, but in other ways im glad i saved a pup and got her out of his care, i wouldnt trade that beauty for the world!

OMG $10,000 :eek: .......... well,....... if you have the money to throw away :rolleyes: ........ im sorry im being nosey, but what was the contract??? he sold you a sick pup, he should pay for part of the vet bills or give you another pup... also, if you are REALLY unssatisfied with him (which im assuming you are) you could also report him to the Better buissness Bureau

the contract clearly states that while the pup is in his care he will take care of these problems, which he didnt, bc she had ear mites and coccidia the day we got her, and i also reported him to the better business bureau 2 days ago, he kept emailing me saying how stupid i was, and all i was doing was writing him an email explaining to him that other dogs in his care may be affected by these disease's. he tried to belittle me and call me childish names, so i went to the BBB because he has questionable business practices, and if they find it out to be true i want reimbirsment for her vet bills

good for you........ may i suggest you keep those e-mails he sent you for "evidence" of his bad buissness habits????

Ashley, if your baby has had diahrrea for a few days, you have to be very careful that she doesn't dehydrate! Our Toto began diahrrea the day we started back to Colorado after being home for a few days. By the time we got to Paducah, KY that night and found an emergency vet, she was dehydrated and had blood in her stool. I was shocked because she was still drinking and everything like normal. She had a gastrointestinal infection and we had to force pedialite and medication down her that night with a syringe ... if she had not improved by morning the vet was going to start an IV because dehydration is deadly. The only reason he didn't keep her was after he had to take blood twice and she was so upset he honestly told us that if he did, he was afraid she would have a heart attack! He also realized that we would make her take the fluids and if we couldn't that we would call him back during the night, which we would've. I have never been so terrified in my life and I'm not trying to frighten you but I just didn't realize that could happen so quickly! Hope your baby will be OK ... the bad breeder will be there to deal with after she has recovered. Good luck!

Oh my! When I first was looking for a yorkie, I would look at his site every day, even emailed him regarding one of his pups but then we chose another breeder which didn't turn out so well either.

He's heavily involved in another "hot topic" on this site and TP.

what is tp?

He's been the topic of much chatter on many toy breed forums so it would takes lots of work to track down everything thats being said about him. Talk is everywhere about him. Lots of people have had problems with some of his pups, some have have not done well at all. Take your pup to the vet ASAP. Hope all goes well for your little one. Always check out your breeders before making a purchase. Please Keep us posted on how your puppy is doing.

We did it on Adobe Photoshop. It was a picture we had taken of a flag. I stood up on a chair and waved a flag and my hubby took the picture. We then layed a pciture of each dog on top of the flag pic so it's a total of 3 picture. I then used some sort of special effect on one of them. Here's a collage of my son. It's a collection of many (maybe about 10-12 pictures) digital photos he emailed home while he was in Iraq.

HA , I was just a bout to right the same thing. LET HIM SUE YOu. You have so much evidence and proff it is not funny . This guy would be so broke. Do not let him scare you. Take his butt to court for selling you sick puppies..
