So spoiled! My poor back! Yoda loves to fall asleep pretty much near me or in some rather odd position. Of course I feel pretty much stuck when Yoda falls asleep, less any movement wake him up or anything! So here I was on the couch with Yoda asleep between my legs, stretching to reach the laptop while reading all the new posts for today. Oh, did I mention Yoda didn't move for, oh 45 minutes? The things we do for our little guys... But I guess it's worth it... :D |
I know what you mean!!! I do the same thing!! They look sooo peaceful when they sleep and you want to enjoy the calmness of it when they are asleep and you want that to last as long as possible!!! :lol tears |
In my next life I wouldn't mind being a yorkie owned by someone like us! They are so spoiled. The one day I was so thirsty but didn't get up because I didn't want to wake Gus. It's good to be king. :D |
Awww, poor Yoda. I hope your moving didn't disturb him ;) I found myself rearranging my head on the pillow last night, poor Tia only had HALF of it before I moved :) |
Hahaha...cute! I hope you don't wake up tomorrow with a sore back or neck! |
Oh, I know the feeling too well! I went to an acupuncturist for back problems, and she told me I *have* to kick Otis out of bed because he may be contributing to my back problems, being that pets restrict your movements in bed. And Otis likes to sleep smack dead center in teh middle of the bed, so I'm pushed off to the side. Of course, I totally disregarded her advice. |
LOLOL Junebug! We purposely put Yoda's heating pad at the EDGE of the bed near our feet (don't worry there's a guardrail) and there's plenty of padding, so no danger of him falling through just so he can sort of get out of our way. But come the middle of the night, he'll sneak up somewhere and just plop his little bottom near our stomach, legs or anywhere between two mountains (mountains to him that is). |
I know what you are saying....I feel completely restricted when they are in bed with me or on me! I wouldn't trade it for anything! When I have guests they feel the same way when one of the dogs goes to sleep in their lap. It's funny to watch them try so hard not to move!! I love it! |
Husband, dog, cat....and me. Hehehe.....I TOTALLY know what you mean! I've so done this! LOL. I do this for my cat sometimes too - which means I am in a funny position trying to accomodate a husband, dog and cat in a double bed! LOL. |
My husband says, awwww, Bo is so precious when he's sleeping! He's kinda been making hints that maybe Bo could sleep with us sometime and I'm like, NO WAY I'm starting that!! My herniated disk would go into overdrive having to contort myself around a that little sleeping dictator!! |
I'm right there with you - when the dogs finally fall asleep, I stay in the same exact position for as long as possible. And heaven forbid my boyfriend is loud - I'm always shushing him, don't wake up my babies when they're sleeping!! |
I know what you mean, when Tuck curls up on my lap and gets so comfy I won't even get up to pee myself until it just becomes absolutely necessary! Then I feel so bad because of course he won't just stay and wait in the chair til I come back so the poor baby has to wake up and follow me to the bathroom and then we start all over again. |
I am not loud!! :D |
I totally know what you mean! I really miss Reese today. Last night, she fell asleep right on my pillow and I wanted to leave her so badly but I picked her up and out her in her crate. I really want to go home right now. I almost went home at lunch, but I lives 20 minutes away from work. I can't believe I have 3 more hours until I can see her pretty little face. |

Its all so true!! I have had Lucy sleep for 3+ hours on my lap before and I just had to kick her off because I couldn't actually feel my toes any more! I only let her sleep on my bed in the morning when I am reading as I know I would get NO sleep if she was on there all night. She somehow manages to take up the whole bed and if she can't get comfy, she will kick you until you move. If you move and disturb her she huffs and puffs oh and did I mention she snores??!! |
Yoda is a happy, special, and much loved pooch!!! I can relate to the body aches...I don't remember the last time I was able to have more than just the edge of my bed. I honestly have often wondered how i haven't fallen off. I will wake up in the middle of the night totally uncomfy and my body being out of whack. I look over at Schatzie and she's got my pillow, on her back, feet up and warm and cozy. I just shack my head in awe and turn over and go back to sleep. Yes, it's a dogs life!!! :D |
I didn't see the pic. I'd love to see it though. (or maybe I misunderstood and there wasn't a pic. It's late, what do I know?? Time for bed!) I would love to have Sophie sleep with me, but I know that I would be afraid to move or afraid to squash her or push her out of bed. So, I do not let her sleep in my bed at night. (Also, I'm pretty sure my husband would NOT allow it!) I do let her nap with me. I love it!!! |
