should I call the vet? Has anyone's pup ever had pink eye? Parker woke up this morning rubbing his eye. When I looked it was REALLY goopy (and I had just washed off his normal eye goop last night before bed). This was yellowish, and on his eyeball too. But when I lifted his eyelid to wash it, it looks pretty pink in there. It was Really windy here yesterday, so maybe it's just irritated from the dust blowing around. Do they sell eye wash or something at the pet stores, or should I call my vet? I feel kinda silly calling my vet all the time. Am I over-reacting or should I just let it run it's course??? |
I would try and flush it out with room tempater water and if it appears that it is an infection rather than something stuck in his eye I would take him in tomorrow. Keep us updated |
I would call the vet just to get their opinion. He could have an infection of some sort & need meds. I would call though. |
Chachi had an eye infection once and it took a med by the vet to clear it up. I say call the vet. |
does his hair get into his eyes? Buckeye has an infection once due to his hair getting in his eyes all the time. I think I would call the vet and ask if flushing it doesn't help.. |
I say call the vet too but make sure he doesn't have hair in his eyes. My dog's hair was rubbing her eye at one time and she had the same symptoms. We cut that hair and a few hours later it was all cleared up. |
Yes Mac had conjuctivitis. See the Vet becuase they need eye drops to clear it up. Good luck!!!! |
Thanks guys! I took your advice and called the vet. They said Polysporin eye drops should do the trick, so I'm off to pick some up now. thanks again |
Oh, sweet Parker. Your mommy is taking good care of you! I'm sure the eye drops will clear it up right quick. Bridget sends you lots of love for a speedy recovery! |
