Okay, This Behavior is a New One!!!

She has been chewing up all her hallow plastic toys. :( Two of those toys I had since I first got her (oh, the memories :p ) and the ambulance one my mom bought me b/c I'm on the Squad! It even makes a siren noise, and she ruined it. Why is she tearing up these toys? Now I have to buy her the hard as heck toys and stay away from the hallow squeaky ones. :( Does anyone else's baby do this?

Cali is 10 months old and is getting worse with chewing on wood, remote controls. carpet and ripped 2 toys of hers. She has retained her baby teeth so I am wondering if it's because of that.

Is she bored? Simon started doing that awhile ago and I increased his excercise and it stopped. Maybe? I'm trying to help :)

At least she isn't eating your shoes!

I was thinking that maybe she is bored since I am on YT all the time! :eek:
Oh, and she gets to my shoes too! :(

Thanks for your reply, but Baby doesn't have her baby teeth still. At least I don't think so. She's just being destructive and spoiled b/c Mommy doesn't play with her 24/7. How dare I! LOL

HAHAHAHAHA!!! Well how can we occupy her while you are on here all at the same time? I KNOW!!!

I hung toys from my ceiling once so Simon had to hit them and chase them around. Kept him busy for hours. Looked silly but I live alone so I didn't care :) Try that! Get some string, tie up some toys and watch her go :)

LOL I could just see my friends coming over and wondering why I have toys hanging from the ceiling. :sidesplt:

She has these big sharp pointy teeth and she completely rips any toy that she wants. There are only a few toys she leaves whole. I have repaired many of Wosie's stuffed toys because I hate to lose them, they are so cute.

There are a few toys that she doesn't rip. Many of them are fuzzy, and I am not sure why she doesn't destroy those too. It could be the texture. Latex toys stay whole as well. But things made of canvas only last minutes.

The Kong stays whole no problem.

sami started doing that! and I wondered if it was a teething thing or maybe they are so full of energy they need to generate it through chewing? :idontknow but I had to go through all his toys and remove the ones that I thought he could chew through, god forbid if I didn't and came home to find he choked on a toy I gave him :eek: I could never forgive myself! this is a good post BabyFidgette because it brings a red flag out to check their toys !

Holly Caca....Oh my goodness. That is one strong baby. Wow...that's crazy. How did she manage to do all that? Wow!! Sorry I can't give u advice, wish I could but I do hope u can conquer this. Goodluck. Again, sorry..........

Yeah, she tries to rip the material off of the stuffed toys too!! Oh, and her beds too!! She's nutzo! :rollingey :crazy:

Thanks! ;) I threw away the pink and blue one and the tire. But I have the ambulance on my computer table. I'm not throwing that out b/c I love it! I'm just not giving it to the Yorkshire Terror! :p

She uses her front teeth to rip the caca out of these toys! And I've even seen some plastic in her poop! :eek: :(

Oscar has so many toys, he never spends enough time on one of them to tear it up! Now he and his daddy have torn some playing tug of war with them! And his daddy killed the squeaky on his little soccer ball, but Oscar has never just sat and destroyed a toy! It may be that she is bored. Do you ever give her Flossies? Oscar will spend an hour at a time chewing on those! He loves them. And I found them on Saturday at a pet store here...they were the big ones and only $1.79! I was shocked. Maybe she needs a sister!!! :eek: :D

Good idea. I'm gonna go downstairs and give her something "real" to chew on. I don't have flossies, though. But I'll go get something. Thanks! ;)
