O my gosh I just had the worst evening
 
I went to agility and had dougal in the car while we set up the equipment. Then i went back to the car to get him and - - - snapped the key off in the lock! :eek: I just freaked! Dougal was in the car and the windows were up. :eek: :2omg:

SO poor dougal was stuck in the car for his whole first session for his second course of agility. thankfully it was quite cold tonight (it being late autumn here in NZ). l called the husband in tears and asked him to fix it and the locksmith came within 1/2 an hour.

What a fright! I can relate to how frantic you felt! Bet you were glad to get him out and give him a hug! Thank goodness it's not summer here.

I think dougal was a bit annoyed
 
coz he was all excited about doing agility then he spends the whole evening in the car and then drove home in daddy's car. I was a mess. But he was in his little swandri and didn't seem to notice anything wrong. I just about hugged him til he popped when the locksmith dude opened the car. Unfortunately the locksmith couldn't cut a new key for me cos he didn't have a blank for it so my little car's spending the night at the NZKC kennel club building. I hope it's still there tomorrow!

I hope holly's doing well after her op. SHe's so very wee!!

Oh, I am so happy you were able to resolve the problem so quickly! I am sorry you had to be so stressed, though, and your baby missed her class. That's too bad.

I once ran into the neighborhood store, and left my keys in the ignition, car running, pup in the car, and he HIT THE DOOR LOCK and locked my keys in the car!! Man did I feel dumb...Never did THAT again!! :(

O my God, I did the SAME thing years ago!!! Only I was in Friendly's parking lot (restaurant with great icecream). I was wondering why when I was pushing the automatic door lock the lock wasn't staying down. :confused: So I pushed it manually. When I came out I was wondering why it sounded like my car was running and why I COULDN'T find my keys! :eek: B/C they were in the ignition! :eek: So, I had to call my dad, and he came with the spare.

So, maybe I shouldn't have been pigging out in Friendly's?!? :sidesplt:

Poor Dougal. :eek: I bet he was thinking why won't you open the door Mum?? Glad to know it all turned out ok. I keep a spare key in my wallet now because I have locked my keys in a few times. :rolleyes: Not with Ella in there luckily though.

:2omg: I know you were freaking out! How scary but thank goodness it was cold! It was kindof chilly here last night too! The locksmith showed up pretty fast too! Glad your baby is ok!!! :hug60:

If only I could train dougal to unlock the door - only on command of course! (he's figured out how to open the electric windows in my husband's car though!)
