Does your Yorkie act like a freak at the vets Remmy is very calm and loving at home. As soon as we get to the vets he whines and cries and tires to run out the door. sometimes he will even work himself up into a howl in the waiting room. He claws anyone who tires to pick him up....HYPER...I feel like sometimes I need to sedate him before we go to the vets...How do your babies act? |
Princess loves to go to the Vet, well she doesn't like the shot part. But they always have furbabies there, and she love's her Vet. I think she knows he has Yorkies. :) :) :) |
Cali is very clingy, but my Pom she won't let me sit down I have to hold her and rock her, she 13 lbs. If I try and sit down she barks like crazy, When another dog comes in she barks like crazy. I'm not kidding when I say they sometimes but me in a room before others just to shut her up. Once we get in to see the vet she's as sweet and quiet as can be. If I try at home tohold her face she'd bite me! |
Chelsey is the sweetest little girl, that loves EVERYBODY that comes to our house, she will greet anybody that's willing to say hello to her on the street as if she's known them all her life! God help me when we have to take her to the vet tho... as soon as we drive around THAT corner she turn into a MAD WOMAN  When we walk through the door and she sees the lady behind the desk, she's ok again, because she comes over to her for a chat, but as soon as she sees that table, she loses it! |
Mac & Mellie don't mind going to the vet at all. Infact they think it's a giant play area. Now the groomers that's another story. Mac will walk up to the door and then plop his little butt down and that the end of it. Mellie goes in the door then she plops her butt down. I think they can tell where they are and where they don't want to be. |
I feel your pain Our two yorkies were examples last month for their vaccinations. Maggie: Clingy, looks pitiful, hides behind me, I sit on the bench in the waiting room until my turn comes and she crawls behind me peeking out at each new dog that comes in. She looks cute with her little smokin pink bow...so people come up to see her and she cringes as if she has never seen a human being in her life ...acts as if she is regularly beaten! Max: Shaking, hyperventilating, panting, looking faint, wimpering, acts if he is about to have a seizure, acts if he has some rare tropical disease. Dog owners back off in case it is contagious!!!!!!! :D Unbelievable! And in addition....they have a sixth sense that they are going to the vet before I get out of the driveway. Then after the visit.....they are so pooped out that they sleep for hours.... Good grief.....I dread it everytime....often try to recruit my sweet husband...but he has seen them in action and is too embarrassed to even go there....last time he stuffed them in a carrier and did not remove them until they were in the exam room.....they threw up in the carrier :p :p :p Max and Maggie's patient mom |
Buckeye don't like vet visits either. he goes nuts too. |
Chachi hates going to the vets. My Husband had to flip his carrier crate completely over to get him out of it when he realized he was at the Vets. One time we were in the room and the vet walked in with a shot in his hand and Chachi scurried back in his crate. He never marks either but he always marks at the vets. |
hubby and i took 4 to the vet on saturday only 3 were seen by the vet but didnt want to leave 4th home alone so he went for the ride. we were waiting in the room for the dr and i thought the 3 of them were doing pretty good , heavy panting alittle whining wanted held , but hubby says ( and you want to take all 4 of them to the indiana meet up ) well yeah how could i leave anyone at home. i thought they were pretty good for having everyone there at the same time. i am alittle worried about how they will act around all of the other dogs at the meet up. i need a trial run before the meet up. |
