Bruno's mommy duped!! Has anyone else fallen for the sad little face and allowed baby to sleep in bed with them? Bruno is less than 2 pounds right now~I'm scared we'll squash him! He loves to sleep with us. :animal-pa  Bruno |
LOL...That sad face and those big brown eyes get to me too, but Bailey will not sleep in bed with us, his crate is beside the bed and he always goes in there to sleep, I think he sees our big as a big playground , he loves to drag his toys up there and play , then heads to his crate when he has had enough LOL..... :teethysmi |
All 4 of our children slept with us, our grandbaby sleeps with us when she visits, so it was only natural that Bella would sleep with us when we brought her home. We have had her now for a month. Rocco likes to sleep at the foot of our bed in his basket, which sits on my hope chest. At bedtime, I tell the dogs, 'let's go upstairs, it's time to go night-night'. They both beat me to my bedroom! |
i traded my fiance' for romeo. romeo sleeps with me and my fiance' is afraid he will roll over him. i'd hate to hear what dr phil would say about this! lol. |

I was putting Madison in her cage every night (mind you the cage is for an 80lbs dog lol) Anyway she was sleeping in her cage until very recently she started sleeping in our bed at night. She's fine..but I'm totally afraid my fiance or I will roll over on her..I find myself waking up during the night to check on her. If we go out then she is in her cage. But at night now, she seems to be fine (as long as she is covered up like a little burrito.) :D |
Both Of Mine Sleep With Me....sometimes It Is Scary But Usually A Pup Will Let You Know If You Have Done Something Or They Will Move. Put A Blanket At The End Of The Bed And See If He Will Sleep Down At Your Feet |
I actually never heard about a little dog being squashed in bed. Maybe they have a "sixth sence" to get away if you get to close. Also your "mother instinct" might prevent you from doing so. Our Mitzi sleeps in our bed but also has a seperate little bed right at the foot of the big one, of course with a ramp to be able to climb up there. |
Thank God for the dog ramps, we have one at the foot of our bed too. They are great! |
did u see the sopranos episode when tonys nephew, christopher, sat on his girlfriends dog and killed it???? i know it was tv , but i'm sure it can happen. |
I let both of my girls sleep with me, I was afraid of squashing them at first but I think its kinda like one of those instincts that your body naturally has that dont let you do it? I dont know. Kinda like how you dont roll off of the bed at night! |
I agree. Hobbs is not even 3 lbs and he is almost 7 months old. He has slept in the bed with us since the day we brought him home. We were really really worried about rolling over on him at first, but he always gets out of the way. He usually sleeps on my pillow above my head. He has figured out that he cannot possibly get rolled over on up there!! I think it is instinct on both parts...the dog and us. |
Sherman is 5 lbs. and sleeps on the bed, along with the 2 cats and the golden retriever. However, he slept in his crate until he was fully crate trained before we introduced him to the bed. We have pet stairs so he can get off the bed if he wants too, but he rarely does. I instictively wake up if I sense he is in danger. :aimeeyork :cat: :cat: :dogzzz: |
Parker goes to sleep in his crate, them around 3:00am or so has to pee, I let him outside then he goes back in bed with us. I didnt even let my kids do this. He is spoiled rotten. We are just careful. I like it because I have to leave him during the day, so at least he gets to snuggle a lot before we go to work. |
My 2 babies (they are 1 year old now) always sleep in bed. They fell in love with my down comforter and sometimes even sleep belly up. When they stay over at my parents house (so my sisters can play with them) they sleep in bed with one of them. They will never get rolled over on because they are on top of the blankets and we are below. Also, most of the time they sleep by my feet anyways. I could never imagine not having them up there. They jump right up anyway and smile. |
