baby Bruno Hi. Bruno is 10 weeks old and really lives up to his name. He is a headstrong little guy. Do you all think that kennel training for housebreaking is best? It's so hard to hear him cry...Boy they get you wrapped around their little paw don't they? Thankyou for any advice you have, Kaitlyn |
i wish i stayed strong with crate training. romeo would wimper and i'd give in. i ended up training him on wee wee pads in my bedroom. he's pretty good. he goes outside and uses his wee wee pads when i'm out or if the weather is gross. the crate is a safe place for pups. next pup, i won't be giving in. :welcome4: |

It's hard at first because you don't want to hear them cry and you want to "rescue" them. You can't. Don't give in! I crate trained Aggie. At first, every 15 minutes, I'd bring Aggie to her "spot", a pee pad in the laundry room. Then, I dragged it out to 20 ~ 30 minutes. Oh yeah, it was difficult at first but once they learn to "hold" or you learn their schedule, it'll be much much easier. Now, here's another option for when he's older. Leash him and tie him around you. That way, you'll learn to see their I-want-to-use-the-bathroom signs. You will be able to scoop him up and show him his appropriate spot. You wait after the fact, it will do no good. They wouldn't know why you're mad. Good luck!! |
