Are there any behaviors he does that cause you to exclaim any particular words. I had been planning to give my baby a yoga inspired name, but as soon as I saw her photo I said, "oooo, what a little sissy" and that is where her name came from. |
Poor little guy, he has to have a name! How about Brady? I wanted that for Tucker but the rest of the family hated it. I still think it's a great yorkie name. How about a picture, to inspire us???? |
Sorry, I'm no help! I named my furbaby Baby because I thought I'd be calling her that all the time anyway, but I call her "Poops" so that didn't work out! :D LOL |
Chele, Personally, I'm a big fan of distinguished names for tiny pups-- composers, philosophers, or just fun ones. Some of my favorites include: Stuart, Spinoza, Schuman, Socrates, Syrus, Schmidt, Ansel, Arnie, Anton, Achilles, Aristotle, Owen, Oscar, Tobias, Tortellini, Dolby, Dexter, Winston, Warhol, Willard, and Willoughby. :D Some of those probably seem nuts, but they all made my short list when I was naming Sir Theodore. My neighbors have a Yorkie named ?Anarri? (En-nar-ree) and, though strange, the name somehow really suits him. Every puppy is different! Hope these help to inspire you, Theo's mom |
Owen and Dolby are really cute names!! |
Kipper is one of my favorite names as well as the western sounding names such as Cowboy, Dandy, Ruff, Tramp, Chance, or Bandit. I also like Max - our little Rexy was almost Max, but my sister-in-law named their new pup Max, so to avoid confusion, we went with Rex (Rexy). |
I like Louis-(-Lwey. ) Dougal,Jack,Peanut, Jamie and Harry. A male pup from my pup's litter was called Brutus!--didn't like that! |
I suggest BUDDY...I should have named mine that because I find myself calling him that more often than his real name. :smileyfla |
watch your yorkie and give him a name you think fits his personality. I named Romeo that because he licks so much mom calls him a little lover or little romeo. I went through a few names before deciding on that but it fit his personality. You may change your mind a few times but I think your baby will help you decide. :cP |
Finley, Bobby, Murphy , Charley, George, Kobe, Alfie, Buster |

I'm still trying to get a pic up. |
I had a cat once that I named "Harris"...it was the last name of the gal I got him from! It was a great name and suited him very well. If the last name of the person you bought him from sounds manly, you might consider that! Good luck...puppy names are the hardest! I had Oscar like 6 hours just going over and over in my mind what to name him...then it just popped...and Oscar he was! Oh and I almost forgot...a friend of mine had a Pom named Aspen...I just love that name. |
yeah, we had Ginger for days before naming her...well actually, I guess we named her several times before settling on Ginger. It's really hard. I always envy those people who have a name picked out before they even bring their puppy home! :) Good luck and let us know what you name him! |

3 Attachment(s) ok if I did this right there should be pics of him on here. but don't bet on them really being there cause I'm not sure I did it right |
yeeeaaaahh for me I got it |
I love the name "Bojangles" and Bo for short! Cute baby by the way! |
I like Harvey Elliot Hamish Oscar Ike Dudley |
I like the names Bandit or Apolo, but I like Aspin too! |
Awwwww, what a chubby little cutie! I don't know anything about the guy who runs this site, but this is a cool list of unusual names to scan through: http://yorkiebabies.tripod.com/puppy_names.htm |
I think we're going to go with oscar. he's messy like oscar from the odd couple and grumpy like oscar the grouch. it seems to eb a pretty fitting name. There were several on the posts here that I liked but lol the rest of the family has different taste in doggy names. I call him cutie and fuzzybutt alot already most of the animals here answer to a couple of different names and our grey calls them something different too. |
I like the name Chewy and the name Chase! :) |
my poor little guy went through 4 names in 2 weeks and still we couldn't find the name to 'suit' him till he was here for over 3 weeks! Talk about confusing!lol But as soon as we found 'Topher', I said "that's it!!!" and it stuck. Try going thru a baby name book? They're helpful at times like this!! Good luck! |
Can't go wrong with a name like that! Quote:
