over 200 yorkies need homes  they were found in a shed in sussex england, they were in cages that were full up with poo and the dogs were dripping in wee, some were already dead when they found them.the owner who was in her 70s had died and hadnt told anyone about the dogs cos she had lost her breeders licence years ago but kept on breeding. some of the dogs cant even stand up as they have been in a cage so long. if you want to offer a home ,help with the cost of there treatment or just see the full story then the info is on kit wilson trust for animal welfare, celia hammond trust and animal samaritans, they are the 3 rescue centres that the dogs have gone to. poor babies :( if i had the money i would take some in but now i have 4 i just cant afford it :( |
See my update post in the general news section love. They've had over 3,000 calls offering adoption for them. Hopefully all prospective owners will be screened but I'm assuming as the RSPCA is involved, they will be |
oh good poor little mites, ive only just heard about it. |
Yeah, poor little things! They were eating the corpses of dead puppies  . We had a long think last night about whether to adopt one but we're between houses right now and Badger's taking up a lot of my time so we've sent a donation to help with vet fees and food etc. There was a big news item on Newsnight last night about it and how there are these sorts of places out there. This is slightly different (this woman just liked 'collecting' Yorkies) but there are English equivalents of puppy farms apparently  :thumbdown  . And they showed these heartbreaking stories about a Lab, Yorkie, and King Charles all dying from pneumonia and serious worm infestations within twenty four hours of going to their new homes. Disgusting |
How sad. It breaks my heart what people put some of these little ones through. I hope you all can help anyway you can. |
sick sick sick people out there  |
