Yorkie spayed as a puppy One of the breeders I am looking at states on their website that they spay/neuter before they go to a new owner. Is it ok and safe for the tiny pup to be spayed/neutered this young? Should I look at a different breeder? I assume it is ok as this breeder has tons of Ch.'s! Thanks. |
i'm sure she has done it successfully or she wouldn't still be doing it. i would assume (or hope) her pups are on the large side. i, personally, would be worried about the anesthesia at that age. here's a link, apparently it is being done. http://www.canismajor.com/dog/earlysn.html |
I have heard of this being done and am sure it is okay also. And -- if anyone gets one of her little puppies - you can be sure that they are spayed or neutered and survived it and are healthy. Plus - you don't have to go through this once you get the little pup. Sounds like a good deal to me. And, I am sure that she felt each little pup was in tip top shape before she had it done.
