chewing and peeing in the house Bella is fourteen weeks. She has a bad habit of chewing on wood such as corners or chair legs. I have her enclosed in the kitchen or in her cage to try to keep a closer eye on her. However I keep finding more things she has ruined. She is fast and determined. Any other chewers out there? How did you stop it? I have bought her new bones and toys every week. She also likes to teeth on our hands and toes. It is driving us nuts! Another thing, I have been training her outside to potty from eight weeks. She still sometimes goes outside and walks around for a long time, never goes, then comes in and potties on the floor? Is this typical? When are they old enough to realize this is a no no? About what age are they usually trained? Also what size are yorkies typically at fourteen weeks? Thanks for the help! She may be teething now, and needs something to gnaw/chew on. Does she have such toys? Training takes time and discipline, Yoda was fully housetrained by 8 months or so. :) |
You can use this apple stuff from the petstore that keeps them from going back to it. It works great. Its a spray. |
Yes, it's called "Bitter Apple". |
