Is This Normal? 1 Attachment(s) I've seen a lot of pictures on YT and on the web of yorkies 1 year or older. And everytime I saw these pictures all the yorkies had lighter fur color like silver, light golden, gray, white, or black. Jeremiah is about 16 months now and he hasn't really changed in his fur color,he still looks like a puppy, plus he has a cotton hair texture. I know I really shouldn't be worrying, but I was just wondering. Do yorkies that have cotton hair take more time to change colors than a yorkie with a silky texture? |
color He may never change color due to the soft coat, but only time will tell..anyway, he is a nice color no matter. |
Ok, I kinda knew he might not change in due time but you're right only time can tell. And thank you. |
I think hes a cute little fur ball at any color ..what a cutie ... |
He's a cutie! While cotton coats grow very fast, their colors take longer to change. |
I think he is so handsome :) |
He is absolutely adorable - he has the prettiest little face. I LOVE his coloring |
AWWW so cute :) |
I think that he is a cutie and he may never change colors! |
I also have a cotton coated yorkie and at almost 15 month, she still has the dark coat. I love it though. I recently went to visit her mother (to see some new puppies for a friend who wants one)and her mother at 3 years old is still dark. She looks just like her mother too! So maybe she will change one day but it doesn't not look like its going to be in the near future. :p |
Susan's 11 months old and cotton coated. She's still black, but it looks like there's some silver underneath. Does your dog have that, too -- a little silver underneath the black and around the edges like under the "arms", etc.? I'm not sure if she'll ever change or not. I'm not sure if I care or not. I kind of like the black. I might be disappointed if she changes. |
Willy has just turned 7yrs old & his coat never changed to the silver color. I really like that he still has that puppy look after all these years. Desiree :) |
