New Puppy, New Name? I have tossed around some new names for my soon to be new pup and I really like the name Masey, I love that and I could call her Masey Mouse!! What do you all think? I wanted something that would go with Kloey, and I think they sound good together, but my kids think different LOL Even my hubby likes Masey. |
I like Masey! Tell the kids when they have their own dog they can name it whatever they want. lol |
I agree I like the name as well. Is this dog going to be yours or theirs? if it's yours their opinions shouldn't really matter, it's your dog. BUT if you'll be getting it mostly for them then let them have their say. |

Tell the kids that you didn't give them a choice in their own names and you're not giving them a choice in this either. I like Masey |

My pup had about ten names the first week I had him. Everyone had a name they wanted to call him. And, in fact, I used some of the names for a day or two -- but they just didn't feel right to me. And, during this week - people starting calling and asking, "Well, what's your dog's name today?" Anyway - when someone suggested "Murphy," I knew that was the name for my pup. It fit him and it felt right to me. So, that's his name today - and forever. I think "Masey Mouse" is a darling name --- except my family would be calling my dog "Mouse." OK, let me put my two cents in. Each of you pick out two names, including the kids. Wait until you get the puppy, then see which name suits her the best. I wouldn't be surprised if you end up with a completely different name after you see her. When we got Gizmo, he had about 5 names in the first week, all were good but just wasn't the right name for him. I was going to call Feebie, Mia because we brought her home from Miami but my granddaughter suggested Feebie. I said OK, her name will be Mia Feebie but Feebie stuck. Good Luck! I know she's going to be special since you weren't expecting to get her so soon. Pay it Forward! |
