I heard the strangest sound from my Lucy today Lucy was out back playing with her big brother and sister. They are both German Shepherds, I think I may have mentioned before. Kitty and Tess start howling at something and then I here this shrill kinda siren sound. I always go out when the kids howl, because even though we are in the country and other dogs are howling as well, it is still annoying. Well, there was little Lucy doing her dog gone best to howl with the big dogs. It was just too funny. She looked up at me so pleased with herself. I told her not to quit her day job. |
that is funny. such personalities they have. |
She wants to play with the big guys! |
What a great story! You just gotta love the huge attitude these little dogs have! |
Lucy loves her bigger siblings. He best friend is the old guy that is mostly in the house. They do go out together sometimes and Griff never takes his eyes off her. We have three Doxies next door that like to bark and run the fence. They bark and raise heck. Lucy looks at them like they are losing their minds and walks away. She never barks at them, and Griff will come over and stand close or even over her like he is protecting her. It really is cute. He doesn't bark at them either. I think he thinks he is above all that nonsense. Griff is such a magnificent Germand Shepherd, it is sad to see him get old. He used to be our show dog. But Lucy adds some joy to his life I think. |
OMG, I had to get up in the middle of the ight last week and see what was going on in the family room where all my critters sleep together. I heard the most gawd-awful sound and since I have had Yorkies for a hundred years, I knew someone was howling. It was this bil ole BIRO, Dancer, with his head thrown back just a'howling to beat the band. Guess he must have had a bad dream and needed mommy to comfort him. |
That's too cute. I wish Tig man would howl. the most he does is mumble and daddy and me. |
Lucy talks to us all the time. She seldom barks, unless she thinks something needs barking at. But she does vocalize ALOT. My husband was teaching her to speak last night. Not bark, but talk. She really got into it too. Such a sweetie. |
