Tearing Pee pad?? I have pictures of what I think might be the solution... 2 Attachment(s) I just bought this thing(I dont know what it's called) to hold the pee pads in so Chiquito(my maltese) and Tinkerbell wont tear them up. My maltese is real good at it   so when I saw this thing i decided to give it a chance and now I have no more messes  Tinkerbell likes to move them around and sometimes will try to play with them but now she can't :D Has anybody seen these before?? |
No I have never seen that before. My Lucy does the same thing, she loves dragging the pad around the kitchen with her and then she tears it into pieces if I'm not looking Crystal |
I dont use wee wee pads but it sure looks like a good idea, really i just wanted to say love the outfit :D |
Our little girls don't rip the puppy pad but the holder of which is similar to the one you show in your photo we have in a white frame. We only used it in the RV but not at home as we were always tripping on it. We've never had that chewing problem you're having. Good luck and I hope your babies don't try to 'dig in' anymore. We bought ours at Drs. Foster & Smith about 7 yrs. ago. We've always had puppy pads for them as it shows up right away if they get any sort of urinary tract infection and thats caught early. That happened a couple of times and I was so glad that the pads paid for themselves. If we had them going outside we wouldn't know about any infections and who knows what would have developed by then. Good luck with your pups. :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |
i use wee pad holders for lexi, the best thing i ever got her... |
My friend Tammy who is a Breeder uses them. They sell them at PetEdge. I think it is a great idea too! |
My girls have not made a habit of shredding their peepads! But if they ever do I will remember to buy one of those! |
I have always used the Arm and Hammer puppy pads. Mayzie has never bothered them other then to use them for their intended purpose :bravo: However, I was running pretty low on them so I asked my husband to pick some up. They didn't have what we use so he got a cheaper brand and as soon as she stepped on it she tore it up. Now what is THAT all about??? I dislike the cheaper ones very much. You can just feel the difference and apparently she can too. Her reaction was weird. I just hope when I get the good ones she doesn't do the same with them. |

Ivy..where did you buy it from? Our new little one Georgia likes to drag it around her X-pen...this looks like a great idea. Thanks for the info! :) |
I am getting one for Tyson this weekend-the sell them at Petco's as well |
Sophie uses a pee pad on the front porch. We have trouble with the wind blowing hers. That would solve our problem. Thanks for sharing. I will have to get one of those. :) |
I have one of those for mine. Emilee would pee right on the edge and it would spill under. Now with the holder she stays right on the pee pad. Wonderful invention!!!! My husband made a couple more out of small PVC pipe for the other pads. |
I bought two of those trays for Debbie as she would often pee off the side of the pad but they were a waste of money. Since I keep the pad on a hard surface floor, the clacking noise they made when she walked on them scared her. I was afraid she might be afraid to use the pads so I took them away immediately. When Debbie went through the puppy phase of playing with the pads, I just weighted the corners down with whatever was handy but safe. |
