sweetie's mama | 04-01-2006 07:12 PM | Been a long day--been long month but we are learning My daughters' yorkie got up this am and didn't barrel down the hall for nana kisses--knew something not right. Look over and up come tummy contents X's 2. Putting on tennis going to vet -was there 2 days before with GI irritation(injection and meds by mouth /GI cocktail stuff) she laid around that day ate alittle late afternoon and in pm. Played like a little demon yesterday, but today------Vet check her gave another injection with more detailed restrictions.Didn't get out of city limits DFO. Limp as a biscuit, nutrcal no help--aged 10 years fast turned around B lined to vet he takes one look and ask me to hold her shaves small area on her throat pulls blood, comes back in states "If I'm going to save her,she has to have fluids starting now and will have to come to my home till Monday. No brainer I said OKAY, but please don't leave her by herself. He promised that she would be in her basket on his lap or his wife lap(said when my wife sees this doll I'll have all the help I could possibly need)So we left her with those little black eyes looking weak and saying mama&nana you not leaving me are you? Breaks my daughter and my heart. Vet just called at 8:30pmest- doing better/ playing some and eating a little/ no more vomiting-he said looking good-Thank you Lord. Vet said he would call in the am before church give us an update. Will let you know when we do. What you think about this vet--I think he's a keeper, don't find too many that will take them home with them whereas they won't be at the kennel-sick , confused, and tiny. Lacey had lost 10 ozs in 2 days from 2lbs to 1lb 6oz. THis was from thursday am till sat at 8am. She scares me to death and without you guys being here so I can read and ask questions don't know what we would do. Thanks you for being here! Sweetie's mama and Laceys Nana |
