Pet funerals
 
Dave came home yesterday and said he had seen a beautiful white hearse in traffic, and on the back window and on a sign on the side it advertised Pet Funerals.

How wonderful! :p What an excellent service for people who treat their pets just like a member of the family! I am happy to see one in our area.

That's cool, I should have known they would eventually do that, they do everything else now, I don't think I would do it, but I would seriously consider the cremation,, but it is nice for people who wanna use it.

where do they burry them? I know are town we dont have anything like that, or a pet cemetary.
I bet that is a big money maker in bigger states and towns!

When I was a child with two sisters and two brother (many years ago) -- my father buried three of our dogs in our back yard. They were buried in an area that was somewhat of a flower garden with a great big old tree. He thought this was the humane thing to do, and we heartbroken children thought this was what we were supposed to do and what everyone did.

We have a Pet Cemetery here in Spokane - with fancy funeral services and whatever people are willing to pay for. Do I dare go so far as to say that I think this is ridiculous - because I do.

Now that I'm older, if I lose a pet, I would never consider a funeral, and I don't bury them in my yard anymore -- But I certainly do grieve, and the heartbreak and memories stay in my heart forever. Perhaps my heart is where my pets are buried.

To each his own!! Right!

I don't even think huge people funerals are a good thing. All that money for something the person it is in honor of would never know about. I realize funerals are really something that provides closure for friends and family, but wouldn't the cash be better spent on a charity the deceased supported and just keep the cost of the actual funeral down? I think I have to chat with my loved ones about that!

But I do think pet funerals is an interesting retail venture. :p Takes all kinds to make a world! :D

There is a pet cemetary in the county I live in. I haven't yet seen a funeral for one, but I'm sure if you wanted one, you could get one. The cemetary is complete with head stones and all.
