HMMMM!!! I might have to agree on this one!!!! There are sooo many cute things for boys, you just have to search!!!!! And yes...you need a girl now!!! LOL! |
i'm so itching to get another. but hubby is putting his foot down... one yorkie at a time... |
So did my hubby, he said one was enough, and now we are waiting on our 3rd little one in MAy! LOL!! SO ya never know!!! I think he would give in!!! LOL! |
i think the fact that we only have 750 sq foot of living space makes a difference... but you're right... he can change his mind... afterall, we went from "absolutely no pets" to "okay one, but only one!" :D you give me hope!!! |

I have 4 kids. I wanted a little girl from the beginning, but I got 3 boys then finally a girl. I swore when I was pregnant with my 4th child, that if it was a boy I was going to dress him like a girl anyway!! |
This goes with the question I once posted about putting a bow on Buddy. I would do the bow in blue but I don't think I would go as far as a dress. I do agree though, they have way more cute clothes for girls then they do for the boys. In fact, I cannot find anything for Buddy. Guess I have some surfing to do. |
I've found some wonderful little sweaters for Topher and a great pattern online for the cutest vests. I've made him a couple of cute ones and it only takes about 20 minutes on the sewing machine. You can decorate them up all sorts of ways, and it's fun!! http://www.sewing.circleofcrafters.c...tructions.html He loves them, too, as they're pretty comfy. Oh, and he has some great hats (even though he doesn't like to keep them on! I'm in agreement that I don't think I'd go as far to put a dress on him....it makes little difference, it's true, and the dog doesn't care one way or the other, I'm sure, but on some level it just doesn't seem right...lol...not sure why. |
Ok Ok I did it. But I had to. Hallie sweetie, I have to confess. I had to make sure one of the little dresses would fit so yes Gus did try it on. Same thing with Luna. Gus had to try it on to make sure it fit. :D And yes he looked so cute. He didn't care for it too much. |
i have made a few vests using that free pattern. all in solid colors tho. i'm not as confident with patterned fabric and prefer to just buy something. it just seems like even with fabrics, boys are more limited than girls. i suppose that's the case with humans too. :D |
Megan and I had so much fun in the last gift exchange buying for a little girl. We always ask each other how we ended up with a boy, we really wanted a girl....until we saw Tucker! You can't dress him as a girl, it will humiliate him. I agree there are cuter things for girls, I remember when my kids were little I used to say there is a girls department and a boys rack. Keep searching, you'll find cute stuff! |

LOL It's time for a girl. I brought Princess home, then told my Husband. He just loves her, she;s a daddy's girl :) :) :) |
Buy yourself a little girl! |
LOL, why dont you get a girl?? hugs |
I get enough grief just for putting a bow on my boy's head, I think dressing him in a dress might prove that all of us Yorkie lovers are as neurotic as everything thinks  - just buy a little girl :p . BTW do you remember "Spuds" the Budweiser dog with the black eye. He was really a girl because it looked better in pictures! |
Dont we have a few cross dressers on the site, ;) I know of one at least, but it has been a long time since I have seen them. I for one, wouldnt care, it is a dog, your baby, and besides half the people will think it is a girl, they other half will think boy, so does it really matter  . I know of a few boys that have very strong sense of mahood who do were the little dresses...you know who you are!!! SO do what makes you happy, P.s. my hubby said the same thing and we are looking at another yorkie as well, so this will make 3!!! |
There are sites for people like you……..as a matter of fact 1 million eight hundred thousand of them. And quite frankly, Surfie is appalled. :p Must admit however, I have been tempted, and I left it at that. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...ing%22&spell=1 |
Do you mean try on dresses on him or have him model dresses? Or actually dress him like a girl? I've put dresses on Cookie to model for pictures only. I seem to find way cuter things for girls even though Cookie has like 40+ outfits now but it's taken me a long time to find cute stuff for him and about half I've made for him! Genie,Cookie & Lola |
3 Attachment(s) Good news for your little boys. I went to Target tonight and they had some pretty cute clothes for boys. Got Jack a Woolrich Khaki fishing vest and hat (hubby liked that) and a few other things. Pictures included. All were under 12.99 each. :aimeeyork |
Okay, I don't think I'd dress my Yorkie as a girl (if Baby were a boy), BUT...I don't think your furbaby would get a "complex" or be "humilated" if you did. Seriously how the heck would he know the difference? Don't people put bows on male Yorkies? You don't see a male human running around with bows in his head...well, you do, but that's another story. Anyway, back to my point, I don't think Bunjee would know the difference what he was wearing, so it's really up to you whatever you decide to do. :p Most people think Yorkies are girls anyway. Remember, this is just my opinion. :D :animal36 |
LOL Bunjee is a cross dresser!!! :p You need a baby girl!!! XOXO Queen Lily :aimeeyork & Mommy Lene :animal-pa |
If I dressed my little boy Yorkie like a girl - I'd never hear the end of it. And - I really wouldn't enjoy seeing him in a dress or girl's clothes. It just wouldn't seem right to me. My image of my little Yorkie is that he is a "tough little guy." He is just so cute. And - there really are a lot of cute things for little boys too. I don't dress my Yorkie up all the time - so, I don't go nuts with clothes, but he certainly does have some cute things. And - a lot of puppy clothes can be worn by either a boy or a girl .. a lot of the little T-shirts, jackets, and things. Good luck! Carol Jean |

Try Build-a-Bear Max's breeder recommended Build-a-Bear outfits-she said that they have lots of cute boy outfits, including basketball, beach and holiday ensembles. I have not tried this yet but did look on the site and they had multiple choices. I remember when I bought these bears for my grandbabies, the clothes also had a opening in the back for a tail but am not sure about the fit. http://www.buildabear.com/shop/default.aspx I'd like to get Max the blue hibiscus swimtrunks for the beach. Also the king outfit since his registered name is King Maximillian-lol. |
Wal mart carries doggie tee-shirts now with cute little sayings on them for $2.96!! I got Pippa one that is baby pink and says "Killer". I thought it was funny. Scout has a bunch of shirts...of course his black shirt that says "security", and one that says "who's your doggie?" I absolutely love the cute Target fishing vest...I'm gonna have to check that out!! |
