Ears Reggie was born on December 21 and his ears are still down. I think he's adorable that way and if they stay that way, I'll love him just the same. I've seen lots of babies younger than him and their ears are up. How old can they be and still have a chance that their ears will stand up? Thanks everyone! Happy Yorkie Day! :animal36 |
give it time... it might happen... |
The books say 6 months. Have you tried taping them. |
1 Attachment(s) My baby Rylie will 3 months soon, and her ears were always floppy...(I love them floppy if it was up to me i would rather they stay floppy)..but the puppy gods did not agree.... so on Sunday her ears were floppy then on Monday when i got home from work her right ear decided that it wanted to be upright, so now she has one floppy ear and 1 straight ear.. i think she looks really funny and so cute.. so you never know how the ears will turn out, Rylie may end up having one floppy ear and one straight it's all just a waiting game. i've added a picture to what Rylie looks like now with her floppy ear and straight ear. |
I have a puppy 10 weeks old that has the same thing-- one up one down, i'm going to tape them up. his brother has both ears up! |
sometimes they will go up on their own, and sometimes people will tape them! It kinda depends on how bad you want their ears to stand! |
I never did anything to assist Brandy's ears in going up. They just did eventually. First one went up then a couple days later the other one went up. They may have even gone down and back up a couple times, I'm not sure. She was around 13-14 weeks old. It always amazes me when I see 6-8 week old puppies with their ears up. |
I saw my boy three times at the breeders and he had big floppy ears. I took home a floppy eared pup, but when I woke up the next morning, I had a pup with straight up ears! Go figure... |
