So sick.. I have a head cold (and it's in my ears too - yikes) -- running a 102 degree fever off and on today -- and I just want to say how amazing it is how these guys seem to know when you aren't feeling well. Tia usually wants to play ALL the time, but it's like she knows I just don't have the energy for it. She's acting years past her age today and is sleeping and cuddling with me, no whining for fetch or anything! Sandy, of course, is right there, on her back, waiting for me to rub her tummy. Anyone else notice how in tune they are to your health and emotions? These doggies never cease to amaze me! ((that's also why there hasn't been much posting from me today - being dizzy bites)) |
I am sorry your are sick. I hope your start feeling better soon. I woke up with a head cold and sinus problems too. Your pups are really in tune with you. Hopefully they will give you comfort and you'll be back to normal soon. |
Yes, I've noticed that too. One day I wasn't feeling well and I thought Gus would never let me sleep. He jumps on my head when I lie down. That day was different, he let me sleep all afternoon. I hope you feel better soon. |
yes, I notice the same thing, Nemo, Simba & Nala know when I'm not feeling well, no matter is its a cold, or just crampy they know how to comfort me and they know to be good babies and that mommy just wants to cuddle. they are wonderful at knowing , when I'm feeling good or not ;) |
Hey Aimee, so sorry you aren't feeling well. I know your babies helped to brighten your day! |
Poor Aimee...sending best wishes for a speedy recovery! Spring colds really suck! I send hugs and Maddies sends puppy kisses! |
I'm so sorry you're sick! That's never fun, ESPECIALLY with a fever like that. It's great you have your babies to take care of you, though! When I was sick in bed, Sully cuddled with me the whole time! On a (sortof) different note, the other week, my neighbor's dog jumped off of our porch. He's a mutt that rides the short bus, ok, but anyway, he fell (and was fine) but Sully saw him fall and FREAKED OUT! He started howling this strange sound I've never heard and he ran down the stairs to make sure the pup was ok! I've never seen him be so caring about another living thing, except me, but this was a big deal! They're so amazing at times like that!!! |
Thanks everyone :) I'm willing myself to get better, I have to drive down to L.A. tomorrow for a dr appointment - so road trip with the doggies ;) The fever is going down now, so that is a good sign! |
Yup, Yorkies have such a good Mommy and Daddy sense, they just know when we aren't feeling so great. Get some rest, aimee, have some chicken soup, and get some rest too! Hope ya feel better soon! |

:getwellso hope you get to feeling better :getwellso a few months ago i had a bad stomach virus and if i moved i got sick and nala who always wants to play and if your in the bed (she can't get up there) she will sit and bark and whine but when i was sick she never did any of that she just curled up in her bed next to mine and slept |
Awww sorry your feeling so bad, take two (or 100 hundred) yorkie kisses and hopfully you will feel better in the morning! The other night I was overwhelmed, frustrated and feeling sad, unexpectedly I broke into tears and a big cry next thing I know I am sourrounded by 5 cocked headed yorkies staring at me, one by one crept quietly on my lap in effort to console me and wash away my tears (the little baby girl licked everyone away). Amazing and wonderful yorkie sensitivity! Feel better soon |
Hope , you'll feel better soon . |
Feel better soon! |
