have a question on a 3yr old Hello all, I have a question...here it goes...hope someone can tell us what it is or what we might do...my dd just got moved into her new home that allowed her to get this 3 yr old yorkie that has been with her on weekends when she would stay at home do to the fact that her apt would not allow pets  so she only got her on the weekends....so she is very attached to my dd. they have had their new home for about a month now and she hardly ever leaves Tilly..but when she does she goes into this shakin fit and the poos on the floor  and seems like she dont know she is doing it cause she keeps walking trying to get my dd to pick her up. she has stayed here before so its not a new place to her, she also does this is my dd is going somewhere and leaves her home with daddy or alone she does it, my dd says all she has to do is see her put her shoes on and she starts shakin and if she dont get to go she leaves a lil poo for them everytime no matter if she just went or not....we are kinda confused what might be causing this?? my dd cant stand up without tilly on all 4s ready to go too! my dd came over today set her purse down went to the living room tilly didnt see her and yep she was pooin again ans she was lookin for my dd :animal36 once she is with my dd or sees her she is fine but....not until.what is going on?? do some furbabies have anxiety? thanks much Baby Gene & Momma |
Many furbabies have seperation anxiety. There are many methods that your daughter could try. One of mine use to shake uncontrollably when I would leave. He finally realized that I was coming back and it eased up a lot. Get some books or do a search on the net. If all else fails, they do make meds that will calm them but you have to get those from your vet. As far as the poo thing, that seems strange to me. |
What is a "dd????" Carol Jean |

Yes, DD means "dear daughter" or "damn daughter" depending on the writer's mood. BabyGene's-Mom, this pup has a severe case of separation anxiety. I would consult a vet asap and ask for a referral to a behaviorist! |
thanks for responding to my post, will have her do some readin up :0) Baby Gene and Momma Quote:

Boy oh boy...sounds like separation anxiety and that poor baby has it bad! Tilly is such a cute name. Maddie has separation anxiety to a point...she doesn't like to let me out of her site, but is very good about me leaving her when I have to. When she's home alone, she's in her crate and feels pretty secure in there. I did a search on separation anxiety and found this...thought is was interesting and pretty informative. Hope it helps answer some questions!!! http://www.dogdoright.com/canine-seperation-anxiety.htm |
I don't mind people using abbreviations - but I would certainly appreciate it if they would use the "whole term" the first time - and use the abbreviation after that throughout the rest of the post. And - if you ever look at text messaging lists - a lot of the abbreviations can mean 50 different things - and sometimes even the context of the post doesn't make it clear. I'll bet that a lot of you don't realize how many of us don't "text message," and more often than not, don't have a clue what some of you are talking about. And - not often, but occasionally, some posts have so many abbreviations that I don't even attempt to figure them out -- I just go to the next post. Anyway - that's the way I have to read posts - just skip the ones that I don't understand. ------ and, yes, of course, I am beginning to learn what some of them mean. E-mails and here are the only places I am ever exposed to this. Thanks - Carol Jean |
