Help my doggy is going wild!! My little Roxy has been teething out of control and it's driving me nuts. I have given her toy after toy and bone after bone and she still decides to chew on EVERYTHING. I have tried the "no" and exchange what she's chewing for her own toy. I have tried telling her no with the biting on the feet and I put her in her corner when she isn't listening and I need to know how long will this teething on everything last. I figured the hardest thing to do would be to train her where to pee and poop instead the hardest thing is to get her to stop biting on everthing and everyone lol. What else can I try to soothe her biting needs. :aimeeyork |
get her some bully sticks, they do work wonders and fully digestabale.. |
mine did not overly chew, the few times she got furniture i made her go in her kennel for a while. as far as fingers and hands i just kept telling her no each time and she picked it up after a while. |
My Dezi is the same. Potty training went well, but biting is horrible. She does not understand the word "no". What I do now is ignore her and she goes and bites her toys. She will stop playing with her toys and come over and bite my toes or my fingers and I tell her no again and she gets worst, so I just walk away from her. It really drives me crazy. I hope this teething stage goes by really quick. |
If I try to walk away from Izzy B. she just latches on to my pants leg and I end up dragging her along with me, her growling all the way!!! She thinks it is a fun game!!!! I have learned to wear shoes at all times during the day to protect my feet and toes, my husband is learning the same - no more bare feet in this house!!!!! Barbara :( |
I read somewhere that putting a good chew toy in a sealed bucket with some of her favorite treats helps to keep them going on the toy.....haven't tryed it myself though. |
LOL sorry just realized that wasn't very clear, the toy in the bucket overnight with the dog treats , take toy out and give to pup ..LOL |
1 Attachment(s) Poopsie likes to bite too...as u can see from the pic! ;) she listens pretty well to a loud "NO" if she tries to bite me or other things she shouldn't be. |
