New member wanting mentor, aid in finding a show potential puppy Hello, I am brand new to YorkieTalk. I have been researching, learning, attending shows, subscribing to Yorkie Mag and what ever else I can think of to help me re-enter the show ring. After a year, I am getting somewhat frustrated looking for a nice girl to begin with.... If all of the experienced posters can give me some direction, it would be greatly appreciated......and better yet, some recommendations of breeders that may have what I am looking for... I have met a very nice breeder in Washington State that has helped me learn a lot....but, she does not have a puppy that would work right now. I want to learn the ins and outs of the show ring..and am learning, paddling as fast as I can....lol :D |
Welcome! and congratulations on your serious interest in aquiring a show baby. I think your best shot is importing a baby. Quite honestly many hungarian kennels have great quality stock with great pedigrees to back them up. Here is a link to one of my favorites and one that just might have what you are looking for www.happyblue.hu if you can't find it there follow her links and other hungarian kennels might appear. Also www.norther-lites.com www.golddustyorkies.com www.nicnakyorkies.com http://noelles.com www.durreryorkies.com www.yorkshiresofparquins.com and www.dolcesinfonia.com just to name a few. :animal36 |
Don't Paddle Too Fast! Something like showing and acquiring a show dog is something you don't want to rush. So far it sounds like you're doing your homework. Good Job! If you found a reputable breeder in your area already I would stick with him/her until she has something for you. IMO sometimes it's better to start off with showing a boy. Anyway I would like to Welcome you to YT. Maybe other members may have more advice for you. www.ytca.org is a nice site to visit and they also have a list of breeders. :coffee_n_ :yorkietal |
