Puppyfind.com is trying to fight back against scammers! Here is an e-mail that I received from puppyfind.com: Dear Member, Over the last few months, many major websites have become inundated with scammers, and PuppyFind.com is no exception. We've been working diligently to remove the scammers, but have yet to make a major dent-they just keep coming. This is a growing issue that needs to be corrected, and we need your help. We've recently created a fraud department that will work exclusively on this problem. Many tactics have been deployed to not only deter scammers, but to stop them in their tracks. One of which is our "Scam Alert" button. To utilize this service, simply log into your seller account and click the "Browse Listings" menu tab. If you come across a suspicious listing, click the "Scam Alert" button found at the bottom of the page to instantly notify our fraud department. With your assistance, we can quickly locate and remove offending listings. When posting their fraudulent listings, many scammers will steal images posted by ethical breeders. This has become a major concern, but there's a very simple solution. Before posting any images online, add a digital watermark. Follow the link below to view a sample watermark: http://www.puppyfind.com/images/watermark_sample.jpg You can add a watermark using your current image editing software, or download watermark creation software by following the links below: http://www.uconomix.com/umark/ http://www.watermarkfactory.com/ Note: PuppyFind.com will not accept images containing contact information (such as email addresses or phone numbers). Please limit your watermark to your name or the name of your kennel. PuppyFind.com Fraud Department scamalert@puppyfind.com |
wow. that is great to hear! |
Wow--thank goodness for that..I hope they can shut most of the scammers down. |
I am really glad they are doing something about all the scammers out there as there are many of them. |
That's very good to hear...Puppyfind.com has been full of scammers for a long time...I was one of those that was taken advantage of too by someone on puppyfind, of course not by one of those Nigerian western union scams, but by a woman claiming to be a reputable breeder and blah blah blah. I would never change the outcome though because I got my wonderful Miko from all this and he means the world to us, but this woman is scamming people for sure.... |
Finally!!! Good I am glad to see this!!! Great news. I hope this dept. puts a damper on these jerks that are scamming people! |
Glad to hear they're doing something to stop the scammers! |
Good news glad they are doing something to help put a stop to these scammers.  |
