what does your yorkie do when you're sick? what does your yorkie do when you're sick? i caught some sort of stomache flu thing and have been runny, weak, and tired for the past couple days. today i really don't have the energy to get up and play with bunjee, even tho i know he really wants to play fetch. right now he seems content just laying on my lap in bed with me. he seems unusally calm. does he know mommy's sick? |
Oh yes, he knows. Princess will not leave my side when I'm sick. Last Nov. I spent over a week in bed, and she would not leave my side. We have five children, so there is always someone to play with. But when your not feeling well, they just want to be with you. They have so much love. :2hearts2: Hope you're feeling better soon!!!! :) :) :) |
Mine just know and they chill on the couch with me or just stay in bed with me!!! LOL!!! They are sooo sweet and its soo cute how they just know when you aren't feeling well! |
Mine stay with me as though to say mom come on feel better...They just seem to know when I am not feeling well and they want to comfort me... |

romeo stays by my side when i'm sick. i was badly injured in a car accident and he stayed in bed with me for months. i could barely make it to the door to let him out and he would just walk behind me. now that i'm better we are both back to our same routine of playing. |
It's weird - they really do sense it. Even if I stub my toe Punkin runs right over and licks whatever part of me she can reach to make it all better - and it sure does :D |
I have that bad flu that's going around and Cali spent the whole weekend in bed with me. Of course she just had surgery so that may be why! |
Last month when we didn't even have Scrappy for even 2 days and he became sick with parvo. I never realized until then how much dogs pick up on your emotions and how you are feeling. We got Scrappy on Friday night and by Monday morning he was at the vet being treated for parvo. Well after I took scrappy to the vet and he didn't come home Raven was already acting kinda depressed. She would go to the door where I had kept Scrappy and whine a little bit, but when I got the news on Valentines day that Scrappy passed away and I was crying and upset, she became really upset. She actually vomited a few times that day from all the stress. Of course I freaked out when she did this thinkning maybe she might have contacted the parvo, but the vet assured me that there was no way she would already be infected because of the incubation period. He told me that dogs are very intelligent and can pick up when your stressed or sick, and will react accordingly. Sure enough in a few days she was better, but to this day she will go into the room where I had Scrappy and look around for him. Kim |
Mine are the same way...whatever I'm doing - they're doing... Last year I was 'praying to the porcelain god'....sitting there on the floor just kind of waiting....you ALL know what I mean :) and I had my head resting on my arms..... well...I finally looked up and almost lost it.... The 3 of us were in a circle around the john...They're both standing one their hind legs peering into the bowl with me....then when I looked up....they both looked at me with the cutest expressions like...."This is fun....wadda we doing Mom ?" |
Mine laid in bed with me for three days and nights when I had my gall bladder out. They do know when something is wrong. |
it's amazing how intuitive they can be huh! although i think bunjee is impatient with me being sick...whenever i get up to go to the bathroom, he jumps up looking at me like... are you all better now? can we go play now? ... then he gets all sad and go back to laying down with me when i came back to bed. *sigh* leaving him behind today to go to the doctor's is gonna be harder than usual. :( |
