Cutting hair on face? Okay, today is Saturday morinng and I am well-awake and ready to do stuff! I'm about to give Fred and bath. Last night, I looked at his little adorable face and saw a clump of nasty eyeboogers on each eye. I took a wet wash cloth like most of you guys informed on doing and tried to wipe it out.. I wet it and wet it, tried pulling it out with my nail...even Fred started getting frustrated! It just wont come out! So, I am thinking.. will it be bad to just trim it off? |
I took a small pair of scissors and cut my puppies hair by her eyes. It was constantly guggy and I was tired of looking at it in her eyes. It didn't take away from her look at all. Now I can see her sweet little eyes. |
My groomer scoops the hair out around the eyes well right between the eyes it's so great because he doesn't get that stuff at all now! and he doesn't look any different because he still has what she calls the visor that hangs in his face so he still looks like a fluffy puppy which was my biggest concern! |
I have the same problem and you cannot wash that crud off! I think you have to be vigilent and wash it every day in order to prevent in the first place. I have used scissors to cut that hair off just below they eye when it has become crusted and stuck together, but highly recommend using blunt ended scissors. They still cut very well and you dont want to get your baby in the eye. |
I ordered some Vitacoat Diamond Eye and find it easy to use to remove the eyeboogers. It also is used to remove the stains caused by the buildup if used as directed. |
Washing everyday I think we all have the same problems, my remedy is to was out his eyes every day so it does not build up. So far that seems to the cure. I wash it with wet tissues after I brush his teeth and his coat so he's used to it. As part of his daily routine. I don't use any thing special just plain warm water. |
