Cali's incision (graphic) 2 Attachment(s) Am I overreacting,it seems to me that Cali's incision is way bigger than any other puppies I've had spayed. |
That is way bigger than Jewels was but they did more to Calli too. |
holy crap, why so big? thats crazy.... |
That does seem big, my BF had his Cocker done and it wasn't that big at all. Oh and OUCHEE :( |
It looks way bigger than any dog or cat I have had spayed. I have seen way more smaller incisions on animals that have weighed more than 20lbs. |
They are not normally that Big! |
That cut is way too big for such a small dog. I hope she heals well...... |
wow that is even bigger thena c section cut . why is it so big did she have anything else done ? |
Poor baby! That is a big booboo! That does seem really big but who knows! I hope she gets well soon! |
Poor little baby . She is in my prayers for a full recovery . |
Awww...it looks sooo huge on her little body! Looks like it is healing great too! |
Poor little Cali! That is such a huge incision for such a little baby girl! :( |
Well keep in mind, they did exploratory on the intestines as well. I suppose the made it as big as was necessary for them to examine the intestines without twisting them. Poor baby. but it probably won't take any longer for a large one to heal as it would a small one. |

That is big. 3 times bigger than Pippa's but you have to take in to consideration the other things she had done too |
That poor baby ! |
My Lexi's incision was from her chest down to her noo noo. They said she only had one ovary and had to make a bigger incision to make sure they didn't just miss it. Well, guess what they missed it and 3 months later my poor baby went into heat. It did heal quickly though... |
That is large for a spaying but they also did the exploratory, so it was probably necessary to check everything out causing the least amount of complications for her. Poor baby, just have to spoiler her extra for the extra long boo boo. |
Thanks all for the responses. I won't worry so much now. The doctor was a board certified surgeon and she owns the big state of the art animal emergency clinic so I trusted her. |

She will heal. Just don't let her jump on or off of anything right now. She needs to stay quiet, which is hard when they start feeling better. |
No she hasn't pooped yet! I am calling the vet tomorrow. She is up a little more today. Thanks |
