Funny Commands?? These little guys are so smart that they pick up language so quickly. Yesterday I was talking to my fiancee and I was telling him how I had one more day left to give Nikko his medicine ( he had to take antibiotics for 7 days for his tummy). Wouldn't you know, the little guy went running to the fridge and sat by the door all excited. He overheard the word "medicine" and thought it was time for him to get it!! :D This made me laugh and think about all the words he knows the meanings to. He knows "cookie", "vitamin" (for nutrical), "bath", "big bed" (for my bed), "ball", "food and water", "outside" and many others. The funniest one is "can". Taking the advice of some wise folks here on YT, I have a can with coins I shake whenever Nikko gets too barky. Funny thing is now I don't have to shake it anymore. All I have to say is "Nikko, you want mommy to get the can?" and he clamps his little mouth shut!! :D What funny commands do your babies know? |

Isn't Weird... Bugaboo knows too much...He entertains people with his "I know the name of almost all my toys" You can ask him to get "ball ball" and he will find it for you. |
LOL...enjoyed your story! Maddie also hates that can and all I have to say is, "Should I get the can?" hahaha She knows outside, downstairs, bye bye in the car...can't think of more right now...oh...treat...she knows treat...but what yorkie wouldn't know that one? LOL |
That is so cute! When Cali sees me coming with her medicine she runs the other way!!That's a smart one you have there! |

Punkin's favorite word is Hungry, she stops whatever she is doing and runs to the kitchen to wait for the food. Her second fav word is Cheerio. |
I used to give Max and Abbie greenies before I found out that they were killing dogs and Max LOVED them. Whenever I said, "Want a greenie, Max?" he would ho absouutely nuts and go the the closet door where the greenies were kept. He would sit like a good boy and when I walked over to him he would sit up and beg (front paws would quiver--LOL). It was the cutest thing to watch. I don't given him greenies anymore but I have given him the greenie toy. It's non-edible and really hard--like a nylabone. It's shaped like a toothbrush just like greenies. If I say the word greenie now, he still gets all excited, sits and begs but when I give him the toy he puts it back on the floor and gets back into his "good boy sitting/begging position" waiting patiently for his greenie. He knows cookie, bath, outside, hungry, water, and some others but he doesn't get as excited as he did when he heard the word "greenie" |
Stewie also knows a bunch of words. My favorite is that I taught him to "do the hokey pokey". He spins around in a circle and "turns himself around". LOL. It cracks up everyone I know. I could easily have taught him the command "turn around" instead, but hokey pokey is so much funnier. He also knows the word "cage". If he is being really bad, I put him in his blue plastic cage for a 3 minute time out. All I have to say is "cage" and he stops what he is doing and lays around and pretends like he doesn't see me. |

These guys are way too smart! Gus knows lots of words, words he likes,, at the very top of the list,, The "H" word. (hungry) he'll wake up from a deep sleep when he hears the H word. Don't matter who your talking to he hear that word and he's ready! Want some,, He don't know what your offering by that, but he'll come running because most of the time it's something he wants or likes. Let's go,, He hears those words and he'll run and back into his bad. He also does this when hears the keys. Potty,, he'll let you know if he has to go by running to the door if not he'll just look at you and if to say,,, na, I'm good. He knows ball, bunny, and hotdog. (his toys) Leach,, He knows it's time for a walk. Kitty,, Boy he wants that kitty. Words he does not like Bath time,, he'll run and hide. Let's get dressed,, he'll run and hide. Blow dryer. I don't know why he loves being blow dryer after a bath. He must figure that he has to have the bath (something he hates) first. Bad,, It doesn't matter who I'm talking to. Him or Cherish. And it doesnt matter if It's followed by boy or girl, he simply knows the word bad is bad. Stay,, Oh this one hurts us both! When we are getting ready to go somewhere he knows. And when we are getting ready to walk out the door he'll run to his bad and back in or he'll make a mad dash for the car once the door opens if we don't say STAY. And that look he gives once he hears STAY just kills me! I don't know whos face looks more pitiful, mine or his. |
Gracie runs to the fridge when you say "cheese" and she even knows the sounds that the wrappers make. She won't come running for Mozzarella or Swiss, but if you crack open a bag of cheddar or open up a slice of individual wrapped cheese, she comes running. She also knows "Your gonna get into trouble" and "Go look and see" she runs to the window for that, she knows all of her toys by name and can find them on command and if you say medicine, WATCH OUT, she will bug you till you give her some! Everyone who has ever met Gracie knows NEVER SAY "Cat" or she will go nuts and continue to go nuts until she catches the invisible cat... |
