New Forum for small dogs in sports like agility (cross post) One last time in case it was missed in the training forum. Mighty Mite Dog Gear has a new chat room for all small and toy dogs and their owners (well, if your dogs could reach the keys) interested in getting involved in dog sports, training and dog showing. Topics include everything and anything from teaching your dog to do tricks around the house, clicker training, to agility, competitive obedience, tracking, earthdog, and anything else you can dream up! This is an open forum so all posts are welcome! (as long as they are "nice.") Here's the link: MIghty Mite Dog Sport Forum |
Sound like great site. I would love to get Rudy into agility, I think he would be good at it. Maddie would just sit and watch lol.....................Cindy |
Please stop by and drop us a post! There are both experienced and new people already posting and we hope to get that "critical mass" necessary to keep the board going. MOst of the other services out there on small dogs in agility and other dog sports are mailing lists. Hope by creating a forum, people look for information on the 'net, with have a place to go! Your Yorkies are lovely btw! ;) |
I think your forum is taking off quite nicely. Congrats! |
With a great deal to thank from you! You have a new post by the way - checked this moring. It's a flyball question to I leave it to your expert hands. Hopefully, we'll get more experienced people on the board to help out with the questions! :) |
Confused I'm excited about this new forum, but I really don't get the format. It's open form. Does that mean no registration? Where's the beginning page? Is there a list of topics or is it just post after post all on one page? |
I posted yesterday and again today. The admin gave me some great sites that I intend to check. Thanks for the recommendation. |

There is only one topic: small dogs in sports. If the forum gets bigger, we can start subdividing it out. At this point, its just one communal "conversation." :D |

Yoripower: Do you do agility with your yorkies? |
Yes. There's a video clip on Yorkietalk of my agility boy (and a brief spot with conformation Penny). http://www.wesh.com/community/3460674/detail.html |

The story is actually quite sad. Bun had never before and never since gone in the ring. It was the first sign of his Addisson's crisis but I tossed it up as a fluke. That following weekend was the 4th of July weekend and we wound up at the ICU at 24 hour vet clinic. |
Nice Pictures Red98Vett. Mine would never chase water! Maybe run away from it but not chase it. |

red98vette!! What a flashback! "Air Chanel" looks like she is having a blast ... didn't realize that any Yorkie really "liked" water!! Those pics reminded me of an afternoon I spent with "granddog", Missy the Border Collie! She will play until YOU pass out! One summer afternoon I was in their yard when my son was washing his truck and she just went wild! I shot about two rolls of film of her playing in the water ... thanks! ... will have to drag out the old pics! ;) |
1 Attachment(s) I had to laugh at the fact that yorkies don't like the water - Chanel turns OBNOXIOUS when she even THINKS I'm going outside to let her play - she goes NUTS !! She yips and yaps and pulls towels out of the laundry - she knows the routine and you never saw a happier girl as when she's playing in the hose - I have TONS of pics - videos of her and she is a total WATER MONSTER !!Just loves it ...this is her when I stop and try to put it up - she tried one day to get the hose herself and turn it back on and got all her chin hair caught and was STUCK there ! lol... |
That is funny! As soon as mine see water, they run in the OTHER direction. |
Update on sports forum for little dogs! It's official! We are moving to bigger and better digs! Thank you all on yorkietalk for your support of this new forum! It's time has come! :D |
