My mum definately! She looks after her when i go away (she tries not to give her back)and Pippa knows her and is always excited to see her. |
As others have said, I'd have to be dead before I gave up my precious Gabby and Gage. But for fun, if the day ever came that I HAD to get rid of them...and if hubby and my human boys couldn't take care of them, there would be a tough choice on who they would go to. I would send Gabby to my older sister (they are both "seniors"..LOL...my sister would KILL me for that statement!!). As for Gage, I'd probably send him to Villette because he really, really wants to be a spy kid and Cheri and Channel are just the 2 to teach him (don't worry V, he's been "fixed" and actually is now a part of the Brokeback Yorkie group). But then again, I would feel comfortable with anyone on YT having them....there is not one of you on here who would not love and take care of my babies just as you do your own:) Suzi |
Bettyeanne and Patrick! |
There would be two placed I'd consider, one is with my parents. They've only seen her on a vacation for two weeks, but love love love her. But if I'd absolutely have to place Trixie somehwere, I'd probably put her with my best friend. Her Bichon Friche dog is Trixie's best friend, and my friend would spoil Trixie rotten... |

I've been thinking about this, I have to have surgery the 24th, not to be morbid, but ya never know when they have to put ya out... so it has entered my mind.. So it would be my bf Jim or my mom.. Jim would take him I'm sure, but Like others have said,, Noone would take care of him the way I do.. But god forbid,, something would happen to me,,and someone would not take care of him as well as me,, ya know I'd haunt them. |

This is a good question and both of my rescue pets required a contract stating that the animals would go back to the shelter they came from. My breeder gave me a contract listing the backup person (if any) which is my mom, and that she must get the pup back if it does not work out at my home or if in the future the pup must be given up. No shelters or rescue organization for it's little future. I'm glad you posted this because most rescue groups seem to feel strongly about it enough that they add it in with the pet agreement. Bren |

I would give Monte to my mom, or my bf....If that was impossible I would give him to Michiko... |
The only way i'd give up ANY of my animals would be I died and since i'm going to live to be 105 I will outlive all of them. But if for some reason I went bankrupt and I already gave away the hubby and the kids and all of my belongings then I'd have to say they would all go to my oldest daughter. There isn't a living breathing thing on this earth that she doesn't cherish. She won't even kill a bug. If she finds a spider that has found it's way in the house she will get a piece of paper scoop it up and take it outside..so you can imagine how she is with the yorkies..for the love of pete if she is taking a shower instead of a bath she has been known to sneak the yorkies in there and put them in with her cause they love it..Note I said sneak cause I can't stand it when she does that..it's gross to me lol..but not to her..So it would be her.. |
After Cassie's passing, our middle daughter suggested we get another yorkie, but beings that we are up in our years and health issues to deal with, I hesitated, she then assured me that if the time came that we were not here for it, she would for sure give it a loving home and not to worry about it, so with that understanding we now have our Baby Blessing. |
Seriously this is something to think about. You might want to put in your will who you would want to take your kids so they won't go to the wrong people or end up in rescue. |
I would have a queue of people waiting! The best choice would be my daughter, who loves her to pieces.Next best would be my best friend, who invites her over to dig in her garden!! great to know there are options.Better include her in my will! |
My mom without a doubt or hesitation. |
This would be a hard choice for me. I had a yorkie before this one and because of a divorce and being homeless w/ 4kids and no money I had to place my little yorkie with someone. I to had family members lined up waiting to get her but when the time came, no one wanted her right then. I ended up selling her to a complete stranger. The good news is I still see her a lot. The people are so kind that they bring her over for visits and etc. If I had to place my yorkie I have now I have no idea who would get her. I don't really trust that family would give her a good home. I don't know what I would do. |

;) Ha Ha yea I get that all the time from alot of people that have seen Babe Girl. My mom indeed will have her if I ever needed to give her (which I pray to God) I won't lol. :p But you do wonder what would happen because so many people around the world are facing this tragic topic and it's good to atleast shed some light on it. Well God Bless that noone will ever have to give their baby or babies up. :aimeeyork :animal36 :animal-pa Sincerely, BaBe GiRl & MoMmy  :animal36 Quote:

Ok the only way I would give up the babies is death. I decided I am not going to die though but if I had to. I would only give them to my oldest son, who by the way is under the impression that he is taking them away to school with him. Yeah right!..... |
Yikes! I would hope upon hope that my Dad would "let" my Mom take Bella for me... If not, I don't know what I'd do! I have a large family but my brother breeds American Bulldogs and has 6 or 7 of his own, my 3 sisters are all super busy w/their families. Since Bella is stil young (14 wks) I'd probably call the breeder I received her from for suggestions... |
hee hee I'd never want to give any of my babies but I do have a Will set up and assigned Godparents for all my babies.... except the new one now. This is just in case something happens to me. MaeMae and MeeMee would both have to stay together... they are littermates and LOVE each other. So my mom is their Godparents. BaoBao is going to Jenny and Martin who are totalliy in love with him. Lung Lung is going to my best friend...who LOves him.... BeeBee is going to my sister who loves him too! and now I have to fine Godparents to my new baby GingGing........ and I don't have a person that would sui my Maeson.... my parrot.... and I worry about him.... he might go into an aviary if something happens to me. Not everybody understands Bird..... |
I agree with what you have done Yorky4me. I have a good friend that is the 'Godmother" to my yorkies, since she has had the breed longer than me and I really trust her. Mary is the reason why I decided to get a Yorkie so I know she would love my babies. I have 4 horses too and it is smart to always have a place in mind to send your pets too in case of an unfortunate untimely death. It is in my will as well. |
The issue has never been discussed but probably because Tiger is still a puppy . . . however, a few have offered to dog sit, inlcuding my mom . . . but with the exception of my mom, I don't think I will be taking him to anyone of my friends though. My mom has had a dog and she loves Tiger so I know she can handle him and is willing to have him sleep with her in bed. My friends though won't look at it that way. So if ever I need to go places where I cannot take my furbabies, they will be boarded at my VET's facility . . . . |
