My little girl has no issues...when we take her out she will go if she has to. The little boy will hold out for HOURS! He is really stubborn. We are crate training both of them and we are slowly seeing signs that it is working.
We also started clicker training this week. It isn't easy with two...since my husband and I take them in separate rooms so they can't hear the other clicks. But, its fun and I know it will be worth it.
I can already see the bond they share. Are yours brother and sister? Lilly and Tucker come from different litters and are three days apart. PM me if you have any information to share!!! Have fun! | No, my babies are also from a different litter. Are you planning on breeding? I actually thought about it, but then decided that it might be too much to handle. I have actually had great success with potty training and they love the crate that they have. They sleep through the night and do not cry if they are secured in their private area. I anticipated having more issues with them, but they have really been excellent. :D
I need to read up on clicker training. I use to have an Akita and I trained him in sign language as well as verbally, but never tried the clicker. I can only imagine how fun it is trying to do that type of training with two.
The only thing that concerned me was how roughly they play at times. When I first brought them home Jewel, who is very timid, took a very long time to walk anywhere. She would hold her urine for hours as well. Cash took that opportunity to abuse her! She is now coming out of her shell and she runs him ragged!!!! Payback is a Biatch and her name is JEWEL!!!! ;) Pun intended lol
Let me know how the clicking is working out. I may look into it. |
