I'm Still Here

Friend, please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.

I'll never wander out of your sight-
I'm the brightest star on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach-
I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.

I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around
and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond,
The clear cool water in a quiet pond.

I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring,
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.

When you start thinking there's no one to love you,
you can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.

I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I'm the smile you see on a baby's face.
Just look for me, friend, I'm everyplace!

That was so beautiful! Deb, Sweetheart, are you OK? I thought of you alot last night.Heres a little poem for you

Sweet little faces brand a place in our hearts
Our furbabies, companions that give kisses in the dark
The loss that is felt when one of ours "goes"
Is one you can't explain, that no one else knows
Rest in Peace tinyTrace, you'll be remembered every day
You left this little pawprint as something to say;
"My life here was good, although I'm away,
I'm happy, I'm warm.........I am ok...

Booth poems are very sweet. I cried when I heard about little Trace. Deb I hope your heart heals.

Both pomes are very sweet. I'm sure Deb knows we are all here for her. My heart hurts so much everythime we loose a furbaby. I really feel we are all family. We have so much fun on this site, but we are all here for both the good & and bad. This has been a very sad YT weedkend. Deb, Trace will forever live in your heart. We are here now for you, and always will be. :hug:

Deb I know you are hurting right now but as soon as you have healed some you might consider getting another yorkie. The pitter patter of new little feet helps the healing process. I was so shocked and upset about your news about Trace. I wish you all the best.
