Do you think that someone had played or teased her with the dryer? This can cause her to think it's a game or it's scary (neither is good). Also, a burst of air could have gone in her face or ear and startled her. If you want to continue to dry her with the dryer you should try it again and just reassure her that it's okay, you can give treats and loves for good behavior, but, be sure not to reward naughtiness like biting or growling at you. Don't turn the dryer off in the middle of a fit (if possible), you need to calm her and when she responds the way you want, praise her, then you can turn it off. You don't want her to think that she can get out of being dried by misbehaving. When blow drying the head I always cover the front of the ear with my hand or hold it closed to guard it from any airflow (most dogs hate forced air blown in their nose or ears). I hope this helps, grooming sometimes requires a little training but, very worth it in the end! Good luck!
