Besides Yorkies, what other dogs do you have?
 
Just curious what breeds interact well with Yorkies. This is our first Yorkie & he's a delight (most of the time LOL). It seems we all want "time with Buddy" and wonder if another dog might work nicely too. (BTW, this isn't imminent - Buddy's only been here about a month!)

I look forward to hearing about: when you introduced another dog, what age (your dog & the new one), what breed & how things went (positive or not). Thanks for sharing any experiences!

BEAGLE!!!!!! My beagle Emma was about 8 months when I got Winston. I was terrified at first that Emma would pounce on him and crack his rib, but that didnt happen. Now they do play rough together but they know their limit. No real problems though. Here is a picture of them asleep.

I have Tessa my cocker spaniel...The girls LOVE to drive her nuts and she loves it when they try....

and THIS is Baby Chanel keeping herself close to Lady...my hubby's Rainbow Bridge Cocker...she passed away shortly after I took this picture....

I always want to cry when I see it because Lady was Chanel's first buddy... and I think Chanel knew she was getting sick...

We have a Maltese and he is the complete opposite of my yorkie princess.

We have a Mini Schnauzer and an English Mastiff. We also had Chihuahua's but my male died a few months ago, and my female and her baby are staying with friends now. My Yorkie and my husbands Mini Schnauzer are best friends. Our Mastiff just thinks the girls are crazy and he stays away from them.

We have a cockapoo. I think he was about 2 when we got charlie. At first he hated charlie, but now they are best buds. I think it was the attention thing. Because of a new puppy, snickers kinda got jealous. But everything is a.o.k now.

Initially I had a 24# Bichon and a Havanese pup. Then we got our Yorkie, Dayzee. The Bichon had to be put down about 6 weeks ago. The biewers arrived Tuesday. So the score is now: 18 month old Havanese and 3 pups between 4 and 9 months of age.

Ok, I guess we have the beauty and the giant. We have a lab/chow mix and our yorkie priness. Jedi, our lab/chow thinks he is the big brother to our yorkie.

We have Daisy and will be getting another Yorkie next month and we also have a chocolate lab.. 105 lbs...

We've had several poodles and a couple German Shepards in our younger days!

I have a bulldog and collie. Lily, the bulldog, was very wary that we would no longer be the princess but she sees that she still gets lots of attention, so she's cool. The collie growled a little bit the first day but no problem now. They're all buddies and enjoy playing with little Bobby.

I have a 12lb Pom who does not like other dogs but has so far tolerated Cali. A few snarls and chase downs but Cali can get away !

I have only yorkies but my brother has a boxer named Vito and he gets along very well with Abbie. She was not quite a year and he was just about a year old when they met last summer. She was playing with him like she was a big dog and he was drooling all over her because he was so excited. And Max just stayed on the couch like the "adult" and barked occasionally like he was reprimanding them for acting so crazy. It was so funny to watch :)
