Going camping! Don and I and the dogs are headed out in our camper in the morning for Rhode Island. We'll be camping with my oldest son and his family. Since we now have the Casita, we are taking him our big tent to use. Should be a fun visit and I know that the dogs will enjoy it. Pogo had an appointment for a nice summer cool haircut at the groomer at 1 pm today, and he and Don went driving off in the car while I held Higgins. This is the first time that Daddy and Pogo have left Higgins behind and he was absolutely WILD with unhappiness! Crying and running from door to door. After about a half hour of this he settled in for a sulk and then a nap. Don came home without Pogo, but he brought a new toy for Higgins, so all was well. Then we loaded Higgins into the car and finally went to pick up Pogo at the groomer......WHAT A SCENE! They were BOTH so happy to see each other they were beside themselves with joy! Everyone got such a kick out of them! We'll be back next weekend sometime. So keep the ol' forum lively until I get back -- I'll miss you all!!!!! Big hugs! Mary Ellen |

Well, I did call them today and ask for a brochure. It will be at least a year or 2 before I can make that type purchase. I have a son that's stationed in Iraq and I'm hoping to go to Europe when he gets out so I'm trying to be thrifty and we just bought some land this past weekend and it took a chunk out of my nest egg. We have a lake cabin and own 5 lots. The remaining 2 lots on our strip came up for sale last week and we snatched them up. Just went and did the paper work this past Friday. The great part is that those lots give a great view of the lake. It's not lake front property, they don't have lakefront at this lake because it's core of engineer land. But we set up on a hill, with farm land between us and you look down into these 2 little hills and have a beautiful view of the lake. Couldn't pass it up. We hope to build a house there within about a year or 2 , the cabin will then become a guest house. But my husband is a hunter and we do love to travel so I think the casita will be a good investment for us. Give us a good excuse to head back to New England. It was funny when he came home from work the other day , I called him to look at the computer (I had pulled up the Casita homepage) and I said I want one of these! I told him these ladies on yorkietalk told me about them. He said that he drives by the factory everytime he goes hunting and had thought it would be nice to own one. So we have decided to go one day and at least take a look. It's pretty close to us ( a little over an hours drive). I also thought that I may keep my eyes open in the classifieds for a gently used model. Do they hold up well or is it risky buying a second hand model? |
I forgot to mention that the egg forum makes me really want one! Everyone really seems to love their eggs. |
The egg lovers are taking over YorkieTalk! :P They are definitely neat, perhaps when I retire I'll look more into it! |
