Money Gram Deposit???On a Yorkie Hi, I contacted a lady off of livedeal.com that's in Texas and she said she needs a deposit to hold the pup till I get there to pick her up.( Im going to Texas at the end of this month...) Which that seems normal but she wants me to send the money by a money gram..I'm not even sure really what it is. All my web pages right now show up in German. All but yahoo home page and Yorkie talk. I guess when my hubby gets home I am going to have to have him reset all the webpages to show up in english again.. I am guessing the money gram is like sending or wiring money to some one.... has any one ever sent a money gram for a deposit or for any other thing, before? Or bought a pup off of livedeal.com? I am a little worried and I dont want to get scammed I guess scents reading a few TY Threads, its got me thinking and looking into things a lot. |
I hate to sound like the voice of doom...but don't do it. In my opinion...there are too many scammers using this form of money transfer....You have no recourse if you wire money and no backup if things go wrong. I don't know much about LiveDeal but I would be VERY WARY of any sites like this.... Please...check more into this before you send anyone money. The scams are taking over the REAL people selling out there and some of them are so good you can't even tell it's a scam till you send your money and never hear from them again..... Again....I encourage you to NOT do this. There are Ethical honest breeders out there and you'll have a far better experience with them than taking a chance with a site called Live Deal. |
If you're not picking the puppy up until the end of the month I don't see why she can't accept a check from you??? She'll now by then if it's cleared or not.. I wouldn't do it.. |
Don't use a money gram. Too many scammers steal your money and don't give you a puppy when you use a money gram... Please becareful! |

I warn people to be careful where they buy from. My suggestion to you is if you feel uncomfortable about it then find another breeder your more at ease with. If your not picking it up until the end of the month why not a personal check? She would have 10 days for it to clear. Does anyone know her to give you a reference or are you buying blindly because she sent pictures of a what you think is your puppy. Most who advertise on those sites breed alot and are not your best breeders. Incase there might be a decent one on one of those sites, someone should know of them. I would surely use caution. And I hope you have asked all the proper questions and has she faxed you a contract?? You need this before sending money that is for sure! Good luck!~ |
I did ask for a REF. and she gave a girls email and #.. but for all I know that could be her friend or some one how is in on it.... I asked for her to send me a copy of her contact so I can see and sign it and etc before I send the money... I use to be so trusting of people before I stared looking for a Yorkie.. Now I am thinking of way how they could scam me...What is the world coming to... |
