I have another question about... 3 Attachment(s) my baby Chloe! If she is a red legged yorkie, will her hair feel coarse? Because it is really soft! She is 17wks. and it seems to be growing slow to me, but that might just be because I am ready for it to be long! :p Anyways just wanting to get some more info on it! And just wanted to add that I love her soo much so it doesn't matter if she is red legged, I just want her coat to grow!!! LOL |
4 Attachment(s) She reminds me so much of my Tori. I'm not sure if my Tori is concidered red legged or not but she has a very silky coat, but her hair is growing VERY, VERY slow and I doubt it will ever be long. But who knows maybe she will shock me. Anyway here are a cvouple of pics. |
That is sooo awesome! They do resemble each other too! :D Thanks for sharing those pics with me! |
1 Attachment(s) Here is one more when her hair seemed really short like it was actually getting shorter instead of longer. |
OK, this may sound goofy but..... What's a red legged yorkie??? Just a yorkie with red hair on their legs???? (I jsut wasn't sure if there was something else behind it.... Like the blue yorkie) Crystal |
JMO...she does not look like one, but get in touch with feminvstr. Kimberly has a red leg in her program. |

Awww...thanks everyone! :D I just want her to have some length on it and I will be happy! Gidget's coat isn't floor length either and I am very happy with hers! Thanks again for the info!!! |
Is my baby a red leg yorkie? 4 Attachment(s) Does my little guy look like a red leg yorkie? When I brought up his slow growing thin coat with not much hair on his legs they suggested I search under red hair yorkies. The breeder played a switch a roo on me and showed me a sire and dam that I later found out were not the parents of my puppy. I love my little guy no matter what he is but I paid a lot of money for him and wasn't to happy about being deceived about the parents. What is a red hair yorkie? |

I have no idea about the red-legged thing. But Ginger's legs are not red, and her hair is growing excruiatingly slow! (kind of like mine, seems like we've been growing our hair out together lol):D Your baby is adorable. I really like the pic on the scale! How cute is that? |

Ok I brought up the red leg thing, cuz I thought I read some time back that their hair usually grows back slow and kind of wirey! Please don't flame me if I am wrong. It was just a suggestion, I am by no means an expert. I'm sorry the breeder deceived you, I would have been furious with them! |
I wasn't really that upset 1 Attachment(s) I was a little peeved but how could I be very upset when I love my little Dylan so much. I knew he was a little goofy looking when I picked him but I so much wanted a tiny one this time. My first yorkie, Kramer had a beautiful coat but was on the larger side 9 lbs. Life's to short to get mad and at least he is very intelligent and healthy. Here is what my little Kramer looked like. |

Kizzy is soooo cute!! Her coloring looks like that of Yogi...But Kizzy looks fluffier than him. Yogi's mom was blue and his dad was brown and gold...He has already started turning the blue color on top of his head and behind his ears...so he will probably be blue...Kizzy has a lot more hair on her face, than Yogi. I so wish Yogi's face was like!! What a little teddy bear!! |

Well, from what I read, and I don't know if I understand completely but from what I can figure, blue is what they call it when the hair is silver. So the hair is actually a silver/gray color but it's called blue in yorkies. Please, if I'm wrong anybody and everybody, let me know!! I'm sooo not an expert on this. Just trying to do some reading and educate myself! |

I've posted this before but her goes for those that are new with questions. My Yorkie, Jasmine, and my granddaughters, Murphy, are the same age born on the same day but different breeders. I got Jasmine at 11 weeks, Murphy came a few weeks later. They are 10 months old now. Jas has always been very small and petite and weighs 5 lbs now. Her bone structure is very small. She is square (in other words, as tall as she is long. She turned silver and blonde. Her hair has always been pretty long. It is almost to the floor now but is pretty thin. Murphy is bigger, probably 9 or 10 lbs. She hasn't weighed him. He has stayed black and reddish brown. He is much bigger boned than her. His hair is a very different texture. Much courser and very thick. It was very slow growing. When I first read about the red legged Yorkies I thought maybe he was one. His hair finally took off and started growing. It is almost as long as Jasmine's now and very thick and pretty particuarly all around his face and neck. He is turning into a beautiful Yorkie so don't give up hope on the long hair. I will try to post pictures. I've taken almost a role of them but can't seem to get the last few taken so I can have them developed. |
