Another vet ? Does your baby cry when the vet checks the stool? He seems to stick that little stick thing so far in and mine cry everytime. :( Is this the norm, or do I also need to look for another vet. I'm happy with him other than that 1 thing. |
Maybe he is putting it too far? I have taken 3 small dogs to my vet and they have done fecal tests several times and mine don't really notice that they had something in their little butts! Now I just have two. They actually just did that fecal test on Cookie This week and he didn't even blink an eye. Maybe you should tell your vet of your concerns regarding this? I know some vets might get mad and tell you that they are experienced and know what they are doing and some will be considerate and might admit that maybe your furbaby is too small and they might have hurt him a bit :( Genie, Cookie & Lola |
Mine never notice it either. |
I dunno...butt I posted earlier today regarding a recent vet visit. Seems like my baby is having potty problems after having been to the vet. She cried when she went to poop for the first 48 hrs, but did better this morning. She was going well w/ pooping on the pad until we went to the vet, now she wants to walk off while she still having a BM. She's also pooping in other places than the pad, I don't know what to do....she seemed so traumatized! I'm so unsure of a good vet in my area, but have some good leads! I can't help but wonder the same thing as you, are they just going too far?? I understand what you're going through. Hope your baby gets better very soon! |
Or there is just a difference in dogs -- I know mine is a "big whimp." If you ever even slightly slightly hurt him - he acts like he's being killed. Even my vet noticed this. Even with routine handling - picking up - moving, etc., my dog was carrying on like someone was really hurting him. The vet laughed and said, let's hope your little guy never really gets hurt or gets sick. He'd be something else again! I have noticed though that as he is getting older, he is becoming somewhat less a baby......thank God! Carol Jean |
