Question about bells on collar... OK, we have started to let Daisy roam the house a lot more freely lately because potty training is going so well.. My question is what type of collar do you use to put the bell on?? I want to put a bell on her mostly for hubby. He's a very big man and one step could be very harmful. I know that a lot of you talk about break away collars.. Where do you get those from?? Also, if she is pee pad trained do you think it's too late to try and use poochie bells?? Thanks for any and all advise.. You guys a GREAT!! |
Great Idea! I think the break away collars with bells, are made for cats. So look in the kitty section. |
Thanks, I'm going after I feed the kids lunch and I'll check it out!! I'm sure I'll come home with more then just a collar though... |
Starr wears a collar that I embellished for her with a bell. Bells are great. i highly recomend them. |
When we first brought Punkin home (at 8 months) we were terrified we were going to step on her. We got her a collar and a bell. The scary thing is she somehow managed to get the bell off and she was playing with it on the floor. She still had her collar on though. We got used to her being under foot and since she is microchipped we decided not to do a collar at all. |
I use the breakaway cat collar with a bell on Dublin just to keep track of where he is in the house. There are two kinds. Breakaway and slip away. I prefer the breakaway because I worry that the slip away might get tangled. I also got spares because he loses it about once a week or so. They always show up, but in the interim I have something. BTW - Dublin is a big boy about 12 lbs. Widget is under 5lbs and is so light on her feet that the bell didn't make much noise. That and since Dublin kept ripping it off, I don't bother with her wearing one. She pretty much stays by my side, too, so I don't worry. |
