If greenies are bad, what chewie then? Where did you find that study on greenies? Thats very scary cause my parents have a pug and he eats a greenie a day. Thank goodness Kloey don't like them. I did try a dental chewie yesterday by Iams and she seemed to like it. What chews do you all recomend for yorkies? The teeth brushing went real well, I used the one that fits on your finger and she didnt mind it at all! |
We give Stomper bully sticks. They are healthy (but stinky) for dogs! |
I give mine Nylabone Healthy Edibles, and knuckle bones from the butcher. I had a bad experience with Dentabones made by Pedigree. I don't like bones that are hard to digest, rawhide,greenies,ect... But I think it is also good practice to supervise bone chewing, You never know what can happen. :( |
I give my Tiger a muscle/tendon stick (no smell) and they are about 5 inches long. . . . he loves it! I get it at an upscale petstore . . . but they are only 69 cents! Tiger shared a couple of sticks to Daisy, Yorkshirecrazy's yorkie (another YT Member) and she says her Daisy just loves it. |
CHloe loves nylabones. :) |
Bully stix |
We use bully sticks also.. Daisy loves them.. |
mine eats pigs ears, is that bad? I bought a greenie once but threw it away when I started reading about them. d |
Pig ears are rawhide I thought, and rawhide is bad if they digest it, it's ok if they just chew as long as they dont get any pieces off of it. |
Bully sticks are great for keeping them busy but even if you don't think they stink (which they do) they sure don't give them nice breath. I still let Shelby chew on a greenie every night before bed. I hold it so she can't run off with it and I let her chew for about 2 min. She doesn't break off any big chunks and she is fine. |
Stinky bully sticks :aimeeyork |
The furniture and door facings make good substitutes. Seriously, I have Nylabones all over the place and, i know not everyone likes them, but I treat soup bones a certain way and use them..Nothing digestible.... |
C.E.T. Petite Dental Chews - You can only get them from a Vet. |
Switched to : Fresh Sticks, They supost to take the place for Greenies and came highly recommented from Naturepet Store, they 100 % natural, Rosi seems to like them , Little expensive , like allmost 9.00 a bag but it says on bag they are completely edible and Digestible ! |
Twinkie enjoys nylabones & nylabone edibles. |
